I tried, but could not see any redeeming value in this show. Aside from a weak plot, the lead actor is positively horrible. I'm watching a month after it was cancelled and looking at the comments post-cancellation, a few people said it ended abruptly, yet another reason not to watch this show.

Yikes! This was one of those shows that makes you wonder who green lights the shows on network TV. I was a fan of Jenna Elfman since Darma and Greg so I tuned into this to see if the plot could be saved by her comedic talent... it could not.

This show was a surprise, firstly because I saw zero marketing for it and secondly because it is actually a good show. Granted, it is not as funny as the sketch comedy show that I use as my litmus test, The Chappelle Show, but it fits right in with being more funny than MaddTV and at times SNL. HBO should really do a better job of marketing this show.

Three episodes in and I'm still not too sure about whether this show is worth my time. I have always had a soft spot for Kirsten Dunst as I remember being about 20 when she was the cute little girt in Interview with a Vampire which makes me eight years older than her... yet somehow she looks older than I do in this show... I digress, she's the only reason I'm continuing to watch but I may have to bail soon if this plot doesn't actually show signs of developing. All of the characters are unlikable (including her character) and they are all very forgettable, which makes for a slow watch.

I'm in my mid 40s and I cannot recall having seen a funnier show in my entire life.
This show is amazingly written and performed (by the same woman) with such witt, humour and originality, there is simply nothing like this on TV, though sadly it ended in season 2 with a neatly tied bow. This show is the perfect blend of belly laughing comedy with great dramatic moments interspersed. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is ridiculously talented and has written and stared in this show, another comedy (Crashing) simultaneously, she also created Killing Eve, had a bit part in Solo, and is has co-written the next Bond film coming out in 2020 and she's only 34. Her range in dramatic acting and comedy are as excellent as her range as creator, writer, producer and actress.
This show is well worth your time and quite possibly worth skipping on that after-work happy hour to stay home and watch it. If you're not hooked within the first two minutes then this may not be for you... you can try the next two episodes to double check, but most people were hooked right away... it's the crack of TV comedies. :) For me, this is the only show I have rated every single episode five stars.

This show is so bad... yet I'm watching it. I suppose it is because I watched the show when I was young and I was simply curious as to how they were going to do this "fake reality show based on a TV show while making a fake TV show" thing and now I find myself tuning in each week. Grrrrr...

There are no reviews on Sidereel for this as yet so I read the reviews on a few other sites before deciding to watch. Those reviews are from what I'd call incels and highly insecure, misogynistic, narcissistic men because each one states how angry they are that the first few episodes depict men as the transgressors. Good grief.

I decided to watch and there is an element of horror but for a 20 minute show, the plot, acting and direction would need to be absolute perfection in order for high marks in the horror genre. While some episodes are scary, it isn't that great of a scare if you are expecting to jump out of your seat but it is more of a depiction of the type of scare you get reading about crime in the newspaper or watching the news as the first couple episodes are things that sadly happen in real life and if you watch any crime shows, same... but they do put a bit of a supernatural spin or add a twist for good measure. These short episodes are good enough to get a taste of what could have been done with more episode time and high caliber actors. Worth a watch, each one gets better with the exception of one in the middle.

Wow this show takes a turn for the worse after the third season and keeps going down from there. By the fifth season you'll wonder why you're still watching it. The sixth season you'll watch because you're curious to see if the new direction they take makes it better, but nope, it is pure unadulterated sh**.

Yikes! Am I the only one who has had a relationship with a guy who lies and manipulates like this but who fortunately doesn't go to the ultimate lengths this guy goes to? #PTSD
This show forms a good crash course for young women to spot the signs of a disturbed, toxic man who they may already be dating.

I finally watched this in 2018 and I have to say that I'm sorry I didn't watch it sooner. Another season with the bugs on Wall Street would have been great if it had been renewed. Sadly, some of the lines they used were direct quotes from Trump, yet this is an absurdist comedy and Trump is the real life president of the United States of America. What a timely show.
