Kristen Bell is great in comedic roles and this definitely seems like a keeper. I enjoyed the pilot, and if you are on the fence after watching it you should stick around for the last two minutes of episode three before you decide to dump the show because it seems there's going to be a great continuing plot in the season that adds some mystery to this comedy.
A superb show with such good acting and production value that you'll think it is 1980 again.
If the name wasn't already taken they should have called this "How to Get Away With Murder".
The criminal justice system is unfortunately so racist toward non-Caucasians and biased towards the rich who are typically Caucasian that these idiotic jurors thought they could get even with the criminal justice system by letting a murder walk free.
As for the show, it is chillingly good and well acted. The dramatic liberties they've taken with the truth aren't so far stretched, and for the most part, they have stuck with the truth. A good watch, especially for those who saw the drama play out in real life on TV.
My God, what's not to love? The original X Files was a great and more importantly, consistent show in that there were never any significant dips in quality or story line, which makes it the perfect show to revive.
This looks fun! So far I really like it and it doesn't hurt that Lucifer is hot!
I like it... I needed more sci-fi in my life and the pilot was pretty engaging :)
Are show creators no longer able to create comedies that are actually funny? The show was entertaining, but I didn't laugh once.
I came across this show while looking at the Sidereel cancellation buzz page where the majority of people seemed to be unhappy that this show was cancelled and they said it was good. I figured since we're on the mid-season break for the Christmas season that I would check it out. I was expecting it to be horrible because of the reviews on all of the other sites, which is the very reason I never tracked the show. I think this show would have been better suited as a mini-series and marketed that way instead. The story has been done a million times, but that is apparently because the formula of "bad guy hunted by cop" works, especially when there are unexpected twists. This show didn't really have any unexpected twist or stand out actors, but it wasn't awful. It should have been a six episode mini-series and it's worth a one-time watch during the slow season.
This show might have been seen as edgy or even good TV years ago, but the networks and cable are trying to step up their game now that people are consuming TV like its food and binge watching shows in one day. I watched the whole 8 episodes over the past week and it was decent, but if my other shows were on, this wouldn't be worth my time.
I'm almost ashamed to admit how much I loved this show. :) It is a guaranteed laugh for those who are not offended by crass humour. It is so funny that I've even watched the series a second time since it was cancelled.
While this show is NOTHING like "The Affair", both shows succeed in making you want to stay single forever. What a bleak picture of marriage theses two shows create. And I'm divorced, so I know how bleak being married to the wrong person can be, but damn, these characters have it bad and make unbelievably poor decisions for such "mature" adults.
Anyway, it is interesting enough to watch, but I do wish the lead character Abby (and the actress who portrays her) had a wider range of expressions other than the "who me?? smile" and the "I'm so shy I'm smiling" looks in every scene where there is a potential love interest. That look is wearing thin.
