Interesting concept and nicely done, but you could tell it wasn't going to last. This show would've survived in the late 90s.

I recall enjoying the movie many years ago so I thought I'd give this a try. It is a decent show with a talented cast and great visuals, however it is not good enough to justify the need for the film to TV remake.

It's not a very good show, but it also isn't horrible. The only reason I've watched it is because it when I stream shows on Global TV this show played automatically after the one I was watching two weeks in a row. It's meh. It's one of those shows with a creative and interesting idea but with only decent acting and character development.

This was certainly worth the watch for something different. I like that it wasn't preachy or overly religious, just a show that was quirky and good. But not great enough to survive in this landscape when cable TV is actually pretty decent.

Cute show that I watched during my Prime free trial. It was just okay, not great and not horrible, which means I can't really recommend it enthusiastically. If you have extra time, it is worth a watch, but if you don't have extra time, then definitely skip it.

I really loved the premise and the first episode was quite funny. But I found that they strayed too far from the absurdist comedy that made the show great as each episode progressed. If they had kept with it, I think the light ridiculousness it would've gotten a second season.

I couldn't make it through the first episode, not surprised by news of the cancellation. Shame on Kathy Bates.

What a great surprise this show was. I watched the first season on Netflix in about a week and now that the second season is out, I had forgotten almost everything so I re watched the first season over the last two weeks and enjoyed it just as much as the first viewing. I am just about to dig into the second season and am sad to see that it is concluded. Definitely worth the watch, or two!
UPDATE: I just finished season 2 and I wish I could say that it was as good as the first season. It is still worth the watch, even though it has just been cancelled.

This was on my list of recommendations so I thought I'd give it a try. It is raunchy humour, but a bit too over the top simply for the sake of trying too hard to be over the top. Some laughs, but not enough to warrant a strong recommendation from me. I only watched it because I was home sick from work and the episodes were cued up back to back.

What a nice surprise! I was late to this viewing party because I had doubts as to whether it was going to be a good show. I decided to watch after all the awards it received and it was great. High quality, captivating performances and unfortunately realistic violence. Though I haven't read the book, those who have said this show was the perfect adaptation.
