Couldn't quite get into this show. Only watched the very first episode. Just wasn't my thing even though I really love crime shows.
I have only watched the very first episode so far (so this review is going to change once I progress with the show) but I can say I already like it. I am usually not one for the horror stuff and I am so not going to watch this in the evenings - but it is good.
I like the characters and the story line so far. Let's see where it will take me.
So far so good. The show had a decent start, lots of loose threads that I cannot quite sort out yet and that don't really make a lot of sense. The characters are not very strong - yet (hopefully). The preview was awesome, but I am holding back judgement on the show for now. There is a lot of room for improvement. I will wait and see what the next episodes bring.
After having watched the entire season, I have to say there was some improvement. The threads have come together, I can make sense out of the story. The characters have grown some, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.
After the season finale, I can say that this show should have a second season. But it really needs to pick up the pace. It seems to me like it is still dragging. The characters have gotten a bit stronger but there is still a long way to go. I liked where the story ended up and there is a lot of room to really get going. But it needs to be fleshed out. The story skims the surface but never really gets any deeper into it. I want to know MORE - more about the Wizard, Glinda, West, Tip, Jane, the Beast Forever. This first season kind of seemed like a prequel. Not the actual story. Really hoping it will pick up for another season. And really hope the season will pick up.
I like this show when it first came out and I watched it and I still like it now. And I still think it sucks that it got cancelled. It had potential. But like a lot of other shows, it came out before the supernatural hype and therefore didn't stand a chance.
I am glad I gave this show a second chance. I started watching it and than thought it was too creepy to watch in the evening and quit. Than I totally forgot about it.
Too bad it got cancelled after only two seasons. And with such an ending, too! The perfect season finale. But it sucks that I won't find out what is going to happen next. If Mike and/or Henry are coming back and then that Demon on the loose . . .
The characters are clearly drawn and well thought out. They play well off each other and the story line is absolutely believable. The triangle between the Henry, Mike and Vicki gives it a little kick. And I really like Kyle Schmid as Henry Fitzroy.
Definitely going to get the books! At least that way, I will be able to find out what is going to happen to Vicki.
It originally sounded really good, but I just could not get into this show. I guess I just wasn't me.
I just could not get into this show. Just didn't grab me. No specific reason I don't like it.
It's a good show. And I really like Ioan Gruffud. What I don't like is that there seems to be no explanation for the fact that Dr. Henry Morgan cannot die.
I have only watched 5 episodes so far and sometimes it seems a little tedious. Maybe it will get better with the next episodes.
Too bad the show got cancelled. It was pretty good. Would have liked to find out more about what was going on. Liked the storyline. Was intriguing.
It was a really good show with potential and I don't get why it was cancelled. There are shows out there that are a lot worse and have season after season. Too bad. Would have really liked to see more of Sean and Michelle and to find out who really was behind the Ritter assassination.
