Let me start off with saying that it is a typical teenie-show and it is nothing special. It kind of continues where The Originals left off - with the life of Klaus Mikaelson's daughter Hope. It is not as good as Vampire Diaries and by far not as good as The Originals (which was even better than Vampire Diaries, by the way). But I still like it.
It is a bit shallow but it is a decent watch and it kind of fills the void that The Originals left. And that is probably the only reason this show got4 stars - LOL.
Totally awesome! One of the best shows I have watched. I have no clue how I missed this show but I am so glad I found this on Netflix - and now I get to binge it!
15 min into the first episode I was hooked and I haven't been able to stop watching. It is a rare show where you do not get tired of watching it but where you cannot wait for the next episode. I feel like I KNOW all of them!
The characters are great and I like the way the story unfolds and slowy shows each of them in their own light. The stories are well written. I haven't watched such a good show in a while. Too bad it only got 4 seasons.
Oh. My.God. I am totally hooked. This show is awesome!
I just binged the entire first season over the past 5 days. One of THE best shows I have ever watched.
The characters are great, the story is awesome and it draws you right in. On the surface, everything is smooth and great in this typical small town, but once you start scratching that surface . . . oh boy! What I really like is that nothing is as black-and-white as you would think. You cannot tell who is the bad guy and who is the good guy with the adults. It keeps shifting back and forth and you can never really tell what they are going to do next.
Love Luke Perry in this role. At one point, I kept thinking: I know just how he feels. Seems like yesterday, he was Dylan on Beverly Hills 90210 - and now he is a Dad on Riverdale. When did we switch sides in this story? When did we become grown-ups?
And did I mention Jughead? He is cute with his hat on - but he is even cuter without it!
Love this show! I like the characters, I really like the little "twist" on Higgins, I like the stories - and I really like the setting.
It is funny and entertaining - what more do you want? I am already hooked and I am looking forward to, hopefully, many seasons. And I can already see some awesome crossovers with Hawaii Five-O in the not too distant future. This is going to be fun!
I only watched the pilot but it didn't get to me. I can't say why, but it just didn't pull me in.
This review is based on the first two episode and will probably change after watching more.
So far, it is not the greatest. And the only reason for the third star is that I really like this kind of fantasy. Big fan of Shannara Chronicles and The Seeker. But the acting is partially really bad, the story is threadbare and the whole set up looks seriously cheap. I am going to keep watching because, like I said, I really like fantasy. But if it doesn't pick up a bit more, I am probably going to ditch this show. At the latest when all my other shows come out of their summer break. Until then, it will, at least, serve as a filler.
I quit after the third episode. It was just too awful. They should take this off the air. Shannara Chronicles was so much better and got canceled. This is painful to watch. And it was too awful to give it three stars
I still like he concept - it's cool. Watched 6 episodes so far. It is a nice show and it is interesting but it is nothing more than a filler. It's great for the summer hole to fill space left by my fave shows going on break. But it is not the end of the world if I miss an episode.
From the name of the show I expected somethin way different. Made it halfway through the first episode and gave up. It felt dragging to me. Maybe it gets better after a few episodes but I am not about to find out. Boring!
I have watched all four episoded now and I am still undecided on the show. It is definitely intriguing. And it has something about it that keeps pulling me in. I just can't lay my finger on it. I want to like it and hate it at the same time. Probably because it is different from other superhero shoes. I want to say different in a good way - but, again, I can't decide if that is it.
I just know it has something going for it and this something is strong enough to keep me watching every week.
It is the story of Superman's grandfather, the story of the houses of El and Zod - and it is totally cool! I will readily admit that I am a big fan of Superman and I was intrigued when I read about this show. The trailer had me hooked pretty much from the get-go.
I don't really care about the acting, or the accents or whatever else people find wrong with this. I like the story and I find it really entertaining. Someone here said it is not about the Drama, there is enough drama out there. They were right. Let's just enjoy!
