Author of the book Axing My Exes and blogger of Jerrica's Jerks. I love to write, laugh, and be outside. TV shows over movies any day. If I could strap a screen to my face while gardening and simultaneously write, my life would be complete. TV, for myself, is not to escape but to inspire.
A must watch series! A serial killer you actually root for - yes you will! Dexter balances home life with his vigilante serial killing in the classiest way possible. The last season is a disaster, but not all stories can end the way you want. I wish there was a spin-off with Hannah and her love of poison!!
Students battling between the realization that they can do magic, the moral grey area around it, and the spooky mysteries behind every one and thing in their lives. It's as interesting as it is creative. The plot is kind of all over the place and somewhat void of purpose, but maybe that is for a reason and it will all come together in time. At least I hope so!
Welcome to the Chelsea Handler opinion parade! She comes off very strong with a bulldozer of cynicism in the first segment called Marriage. Her boldly raw humor makes everything funny, especially the reactions you can clearly see all over her face. I love everything she does!
Women choosing a fiance from 25 of the hottest and sometimes douchiest men in America. This is good old fashioned juicy drama at it's finest. The easiest show to gossip about! Some Bachelorettes are more likeable and interesting than others, but every season never fails to deliver 'The Most Dramatic Rose Ceremony Ever'.
A divorcee living with her tech-rich brother and her teenage daughter - all trying to find happiness through different struggles. As much as this show is well cast, written and acted, it is very dry. Not The Office dry, more depressing and slow with little laughable humor. Which is why I think this is a drama, not a comedy. A good drama too! My problem with shows like this (ex. Married) is that; yes we can relate because it is very 'real life', but it also doesn't make us feel any better about, and with depression at an all-time high, we can use more positive outlooks on difficult times. Since Casual was picked up for a second season, I hope they go in that direction. Mikaela Watkins is awesome!
Real American housewives mix with London ladies and try to co-exist in a world so unnatural to the Americans. It's hilarious, loveable and pretty badass. These London chicks rock! Caroline and her sister-in-law are bullies but so is Lisa VP and we all love her! Juliet is a mess and that stank face she makes is cringey! If you like the Housewives franchise, you'll love this: the same amount of drama, just over the pond! Yes!
We all love a zombie apocalypse, especially if there is a slight chance we will get to see some of our dearly departed faves from Walking Dead. Though I do think they sped the plot up a little too quickly. I was looking forward to seeing more of the 'why are they sick?', 'why do they all turn zombie-like?', 'let's try and cure it!', 'Oh we failed at curing it and now have to figure out a plan B to survive'. Instead it's more 'Hey, look, there is a sick lady, oh no she's a zombie!' Cut to 5 eps later 'Everyone is a zombie, there is no cure, we all turn, we only truly die by killing the brain, nowhere is safe'. Soooo basically this went from Fear the Walking Dead to The Walking dead Season 3 in a few weeks. I still like it but think they could have dragged the 'what the F is going on and who or what started it all?' question out a little longer. I want answers!
Three guy's guys from different career backgrounds challenge each other to survive in different situations every week, using their unique skills and knowledge. Throw in a gentleman's bet every now and then, some friendly hazing and buddy banter, then you have yourself a pretty fun show to watch. Sure some scenario's are set-up and re-done by the looks of editing cuts, but who cares, this is fun!
Is anyone else still wondering what the heck they just watched? Dear NPH, what was the point of the show? To run around aimlessly trying to stuff 500 shows into 1, showering prizes on guests for doing virtually nothing, and wasting everyone's talent performing over-rehearsed dialog with celebrity guests ? OY. I kept finding myself asking out loud 'what is happening'? I love NPH and Reece and Baldwin, but this premise is just not worthy of them. Throw those 3 in a sitcom and you have yourself an Emmy nom.
I actually loved this Dinosaur theme! It was exciting and sexy and had dinosaurs, I mean, common! If this were to be released this fall after the hype of the new Jurassic film, it would be a hit. Too soon for it's own good.
