Author of the book Axing My Exes and blogger of Jerrica's Jerks. I love to write, laugh, and be outside. TV shows over movies any day. If I could strap a screen to my face while gardening and simultaneously write, my life would be complete. TV, for myself, is not to escape but to inspire.
An honest and darkly comedic look at the messed up reality behind "reality" television. I used to be a sucker for the drama and hilarity that ensues around the crazies that join The Bachelor/ette, but after watching just one episode of UnREAL, I no longer think it's funny.
Could Claire Randall have ever imagined that the boring history lessons her husband goes on about would actually come in handy? Probably not at the time, but when she gets transported back in time, the stories help save her life. The back and forth between two realms works well in this sexy history lesson of sorts. The steamy chemistry between both her then-and-now partners are equally convincing as it is naughty. I'd personally like Claire to never find her way back home. The story-line gets a little sleepy at times but don't worry, the intensely sexual sex scene is around the corner. Worth a watch. More for female audiences.
How can you review gold? A James Bond meets The Office with Stephen Colbert comedic sarcasm and arrogance. Archer is a genius show in every way imaginable. The acting, the writing, the comedy, the whit, the intelligent pop culture and political references, not to mention the one-liners! "Call Kenny Loggins, you're in the danger zone". BEST!
Annie Walker is a stubborn, 'I don't need any help', type of newbie CIA agent. As you follow her in the field throughout the years you grow a real attachment to her, Augie and Joan. Not to mention the slew of handsome love interests she collects along the way. While somewhat predictable, it was surely never boring. My guess as to why it was canceled...I've got nothing.
Before the last season of man-hugs, this show was incredible. Gangster and sexy with plot twists that left my jaw on the floor. Gemma, you're the OG ride or die bitch. Looking forward to the prequel movie!
Talk about creating your own category! Addictive, profound and action packed, Westworld is extraordinary in every sense of the word. This series is so creative it makes me jealous of the writers' imaginations. With big ticket actors like Hopkins, it is no wonder the level of performance is heightened to only try to match his brilliance. This sci-fi-futuristic-cowboy-theme-park-existential-thought-provoking-spectacle will be one for the books.
Wamp wamp. Among a pile of other problems, the laugh track ruins a potentially decent comedy duo again.Thomas Lennon as a metrosexual neat freak is funny but everyone being divorced and missing their partners creates no balance. Oh, and the hot chick in the building just wants sex...original. So disappointing.
An absolutely brilliantly acted, written, and produced series. An instant great that will be talked about for decades. The series follows an originally ordinary teacher who is diagnosed with cancer and begins to create, what will become, a meth amphetamine empire which turns him into anything but ordinary. Binge-watching is a must!
An addictive and endearing power-lawyer series that ran out of umph after season 2. The 'will he, won't he' get caught and fired plot was fun to follow, until it became annoying. While I jumped off the Suits wagon after 2 seasons, I will still continue to ride the Harvey-Spector-is-the-sexiest-man-on-earth train. The hair, those dimples, and that god-complex - mmm mm!
An iconic series that will never officially be over (especially in Europe, where re-runs are aired on prime time!). A story of the ups and downs of friendship, family, work, relationships, and life as a whole. And the advice still rings true today! But am I the only one who wishes Rachel didn't end up with Ross? Personal preference, I suppose.
