Author of the book Axing My Exes and blogger of Jerrica's Jerks. I love to write, laugh, and be outside. TV shows over movies any day. If I could strap a screen to my face while gardening and simultaneously write, my life would be complete. TV, for myself, is not to escape but to inspire.
Clearly it was just me, but the first episode was so slow I fell asleep! Saul is well-acted but the dark and artsy direction the producers took left me confused. Is this the same quirky, funny, messy Saul from BB? I was not expecting a True Detective feel to this show. They are trying so hard not to be Breaking Bad and I kind of wish it was. In fact, I think I would like this show more if I never saw BB. They achieved their own identity, I'm just not sure yet if I like it.
I rated this high for its juicy drama appeal, but the poor acting throughout Season One really deflated its potential.
I've been a Bones lifer and don't regret a minute of it. The chemistry between characters really makes this show unique. They feel like a family, and make you feel like a part of it while solving the crimes. With Sweets gone now, I do think they need to ramp it up with another serial killer plot to keep us tuning in every week. There are plenty to choose from in Kathy Reichs' books!
Oh so good! This is TV at it's finest. The dialog is fast-paced and quick-witted. Brilliant acting combined with interesting and thought-provoking story-lines makes this an award winning show. It tries not to be biased, but it's fictional, so put your personal political views aside and enjoy the best tv has to offer right now.
Did I just re-watched the movie Mortal Instruments? Shadowhunters had absolutely nothing original to offer in the pilot. Will I keep watching? Um, okay! This cast of incredibly beautiful people has the potential to juice up my tracker in a way that Vamp Diaries and Tomorrow People no longer do.
CRAZY is correct. I'm all for a good musical, but I feel so disconnected to the characters in this one. Josh is a douche, which could have been on purpose to be funny, but instead it makes us like the main character less. They are just not believable. It's a shame, but it's just not great.
Max and Caroline are an odd and hilarious pair of waitresses slash entrepreneurs. You really root for these two to succeed, and hope the bank total increases every episode! The girly girl in me wishes there were more love interests included, but even without, this is a great show. Yes, the jokes are sometimes too obvious and timed, but it's written by stand-up comedians so what do you expect!
I can't get enough of this show! A sexy ex con posing as a cop, bad-ass Amish mafia, a NY mob boss, native American assassins, secret identities; I can go on for paragraphs that's how much this show has going on! It's thrilling, interesting, sexy as hell, and extremely addictive. The directing is wicked and whoever writes the stories, I bow to you. What a great f-in show.
What a fresh, new, creative take on the overused lawyer-student-criminal-procedural. It's quite captivating. One of those shows you can get lost in. The sex scenes are quite steamy too. Can't wait for its return!
Please don't let his real daughter be Keen. Does anyone else also wish Reddington was their father? I do! This show is exciting and interesting with a 'wow you're perfect at your job' performance by James Spader. Not a huge fan of Agent Keen's constant sad mouth. We get it, your husband wasn't who he said he was and you're angry at the world, but you're a character on a tv show so it's about time you get over it. I'd like more Red action and less 'agents with addictions' side stories.
