Genius!!!
I have held off writing a review because words just don't say enough. I have savored every moment of this drama.
My favorite character by far is Helena, she brings the edginess to the series. Her explosive personality, which is always miscalculated, burst onto the screen devouring every adversary.
Don't get me wrong, there is tons of accolades that can be given to all of the sisters portrayed. And of course the supporting players hold their own, however Helena is my girl.
If you are not watching this show then you are missing out on something special, 5 Stars+.
If I hadn't watched I would have been remiss.
After watching Katherine Heigl over at Grays Anatomy and her comedic big screen flirtations, I was not expecting much from this show. I watched the whole season in anticipation of an acting letdown, but there was none to be found, Ms Heigl acting chops were on, and gathered steam as the season progressed.
All of the characters command and convey a dramatic presence. And let's not dismiss the acting genius of Ms Woodward. This show is a strong dramatic piece that I have had the pleasure of enjoying.
4 shows in and i still can't get enough. Can you imagine a do over, this show fulfills my dreams.
A very good action-mystery, with corrupt officials on both sides of the border, separating the USA and Mexico. Terrific acting from all, especially the leads Diane Kruger and Demian Bichir. Taken from the Danish version of the Bridge. The French also tackled the same script but entitled theirs The Tunnel.
MTV has a Winner!
Eye Candy is a horror fest with all of the elements. There's the beautiful people, and the gang of suspects who keep getting eliminated, figuratively and physically, and that mysterious character who continues his Jason like destruction. You gotta watch, ohh did I mention Victoria Justice as EYE CANDY ;).
Powerful!!!
I will miss this show and all of that sexual tension.
Season 2 was very good, with all of the hallmarks of French film making. Each character fills a niche that promotes additional story telling. And that climatic ending ask questions about Eva and Louis that need to be answered in a season 3 return.
EDIT - Great news, On 20th February, 2015, the show was renewed for a 12-episode third season.
After viewing three episodes of season 3 I must say the season has been a bust. Unfortunately with the replacement of four of the main characters this show has taken a turn for the worst. The lack of chemistry between the actors and the absence of a good story line has caused this previously international thriller to become a watered down drama.
It just keeps getting better! My only complaint is, "the episodes are not long enough"!
Deborah Messing, homicide detective, I'm sorry I didn't feel it. A mom trying to keep her sons under wraps fits her to a tee. Each actor starring in this mystery seems oddly placed. Eventually Josh Lucas will command the presence that has followed him throughout his career, however Laz Alonzo playing second chair to Miss Messing is an unnatural pairing. The boys and Miss Messing need there own comedic vehicle and leave the mystery to the rest of the team.
This is a followup of my original review:
The predictability of this series is burying it.
