Yay! I finally got Follow buttons for people! Downlaoding Opera seemed to be best for this site. Odd choice really.
This show was less than the sum of its parts. Could have done so much better with the cast they had.
Skip Lucky 7 and watch the Syndicate instead. It's the BBC show it was remade from. Lucky 7 was a disappointment.
Please get rid of the audience, the laugh track, and about half the cast. Cristela Alonzo is wonderful and really makes it worth watching. But laugh track shows almost always have lazy writers and this is no exception. The boss and his spoiled daughter are pretty tiresome and uninteresting characters. Which is why they had to bring in Roseanne to make up for them. Iglesias is a seriously unfunny distraction.
This show has potential and worthwhile star to invest in. Hopefully someone will tell the network this before the show sinks. Alonzo deserves better then what they have given her so far.
I miss this show. It was always funny. The music is hilarious. The characters were funny. And, most importantly, Kristen Schaal.
The main character is a stereotypical "ugly American" who moves to Sweden to be with his girlfriend. He does little to learn the language or culture. All the other characters are loveable and fun. The celebrity guest appearances, something that is often used to cover lazy writing in TV, are funny and well done. Especially Björn Ulvaeus.
I love Judy Greer and I really wanted to like but just found it uninteresting.
Interesting concept that had potential. Jake McDorman is pretty annoying in this character which seems a bit too similar to other characters of his. I would have liked this more if Jennifer Carpenter had been cast in the Brian Finch role instead of the insipid FBI agent.
Some ok moments but it mostly felt like a bunch of rejected SNL skits.
The pilot is a bit over the top, as pilots frequently are, but Aisha Hinds and Angela Bassett are always worth sticking around for. And it the second episode shows more promise. Let's hope people keep Ryan Murphy in check. He has a tendency to start shows off real interesting then ruin them by making it about how bizarre he can go after a season or two.
This what happens when you take the least interesting character on a show and design a spin off around them. I'll give it a few more episodes but the pilot is awful. And why did the hookers look like they were dressed for the Rocky Horror Picture Show?
