Yay! I finally got Follow buttons for people! Downlaoding Opera seemed to be best for this site. Odd choice really.
I can't figure out why this is labeled a psychological thriller. All through the pilot I kept thinking with a cast like this it will get better soon. It did not.
So much hype, so much talent, and, ultimately, so much disappointment.
There is a lot of important American history to be told here, history that has been hidden from the general public so making this worth watching should have been a priority. It feels like a punishment trying to watch this.
There was an odd quote by Dustin Lance Black before this aired, “I think a lot of people who voted for Donald Trump will love this show." The ratings continual droppage during the 4 night airing suggest s no one really loved it on most of the political spectrum.
I find it interesting that there a relatively few out gay actors in lead roles . The ones I recognised were relegated to small, barely seen roles.
There is a quote from the first part “I say we just get rid of all the heterosexuals. They're so boring.” Maybe that was the point all along. To prove that those in the LGBTQ community are just like everyone outside of it. Completely boring.
I was turned off by the title and the premise. I tried it anyway. The pilot didn't do much for me but there was just something about the lead that made me give it another chance. And it took only one more episode and I was hooked. It's fun and quirky. It has weird and wonderful cast. Hilarious musical numbers. Strange characters. I'm kinda glad I waited so I can binge watch to catch up.
Why does her dress have a zipper on it?
It's a laughtrack show.
I don't know what was more poorly done - the acting or the writing - but they both ruined any chance of this being a keeper.
The dancing was a nice relief from the rest of the show which has nothing new to add to TV.
The reality show Breaking Pointe was more interesting than this overbudgeted and overrated snorefest. If only Breaking Pointe had actually had more dancing in it it might have lasted. Flesh and Bone no way.
Rather bland but watchable. Some good casting and some off choices as well. Kind of a cheesy premise. At times the writing feels juvenile. It makes decent background noise.
UPDATE: I dropped it a star as it just kept getting worse and worse. Terrible show. I wish they would cancel it and create something worthy of Mirelle Enos.
Pretty bad. Another cop show with nothing new to add to the genre.
Reviewing a show that has lasted this long is difficult.
This show has been hilarious and it has been terrible. It had many seasons no one believed it would actually be renewed after. And it's brought us some of the funniest comics and comedy writers working in TV and movies. And some of the worst.
No one really agrees on what were the funniest moments, seasons or casts. And that may be the true brilliance of this show. The thing that makes it uncancellable. If you wait a season or two you will find something you like.
Ouch. The pilot was painfully dull. What a waste of Chris O'Dowd.
