How do I love thee, Television, let me count the ways. I simply love television and all the possibilities the medium contains. Be it mini series, long arcs in drama series or clutching my stomach from laughing at the antics in a sitcom. I'm especially down for a some dramatic comedy or comedic drama. I'm amazed by web series and floored over consistent character development. I have a deep love for British series, flawed characters and one hit wonders among other things.
Simple really, good acting, wonderful and grounded storylines. A fantastic drama with plenty of funny inputs. One of the best coming of age/high school show that ever graced the small screen.
This show is clever, wickedly funny and filled with wonderfully on point songs - both lyrically and the parody melodies. Rachel Bloom has blessed us with this show and the complex character of Rebecca Bunch, who is incredibly grounded in reality despite being a musical character. Also the supporting cast is simply amazing!
I often watch this over and over, because it is so great. It has all you could wish for: fantastic and ridiculous songs, Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day and Nathan Fillion being amazing. It really does have it all!
Two hours spend with the Brontë family is not nearly enough. This intimate look at the few years where the Brontë sisters wrote and published their poetry and stories is well written, well acted and incredibly engagning. These women were incredible and so human which you sense after just five minutes of this movie.
Not a lot a happy in Happy Valley, but a of fantastic things. The writing is engaging, the performances are fantastic. Sarah Lancaster is just perfect in this role. A+ drama series filled with suspence.
This show is such a fun ride. Edgar Allan Poe has the best murder mystery party in the history of murder mystery parties. So much murder! The cast has such fantastic chemistry and the characters managed to encompass the usual trope about the individual writers, yet still be refreshing new takes. I love this little show and can't wait to see what Shipwrecked does next.
Imaginative, adorable and warm family comedy. Martin is a winner of a protagnist, even if he isn't the smartest cookie. The world the Moones live in feels so real, despite the imaginary friends. Chris O'Dowd is amazing, but the rest of the cast often outshines him.
These women are my favourite. They are truly witless, but also amazing and most importantly they stand together - when they can agree. Kelly Howard is amazing and I just want more of their off beat adventures. It is dark comedy, but oh so funny.
If you like TV with all it's various shows and tropes then this show is for you. These characters are so amazing and you burn through the episodes so quickly because it is just so amazing and hilarious! My favourite is Nazterchef!
You will either love it or you will hate it. I've yet to encounter anyone who is just okay with it. I personally love it, the humour is at the same time very clever and very dumb. The visual gags are delightful and I love the deadpan deliver and dry sense of humour. Rashida Jones shines!
