Love movies and TV shows, especially good comedy and science fiction, but also drama, crime and some fantasy. Also a few documentaries and reality TV.
Oh Sunny, you magnificent beast!
Excruciatingly funny. Wonderfully deranged. Deliciously dark. One of the best.
Terrible jokes and terrible acting by everyone involved. Pass.
Over the Garden Wall is brilliant. Thank you Cartoon Network for allowing it to happen. Beautifully animated, wonderfully paced with just the right blend of humor and creepiness. Also - kudos to using the mini series format, I hope this is only a sign of things to come and more self contained short events are on the way.
The voice cast was exceptional, and the resolution handled perfectly. Go watch this!
Although I haven't read the comics, I can say that, unlike the movie bearing the same name, this stays truer to the source material. We can expect omissions of certain things and some creative liberties because the original Hellblazer began in the late 80s and this is network television. I can abide this, and expected it. John Constantine is the anti-hero that you would expect, Matt Ryan does a great job in this role and captures the sardonic humor of the character.
I can see how fans of the hellblazer comics would be underwhelmed by the show, but you have to remember this is on network television.
I mostly liked the first few episodes so far, let's see where this is going.
Twin Peaks doesn't start to make sense until the beginning of season 2. What I mean to say by that is just because a show starts out slowly and establishes characters and atmosphere doesn't mean it's not good. I liked Intruders very much so far, I am very curious where it will lead and what strange mystery lies behind.
Awesome show, really liked it, this show is a must watch! Higly recommended for anyone who liked 24 or Alias or even the original Nikita series from the 90s.
I saw this series almost 40 years after it was released, but its excellence made the viewing experience timeless.
David Carradine plays the immigrant drifter Caine, who walks through the Wild West encountering different situations, people, etc, there was a different plot for each episode. This was more a "Drama" than a "Western" but the interesting sparring moves and Caine's relaxed personality made it a decent alternative to the more violent and rowdy martial arts movies that released around that time.
I was expecting to see a martial arts series in the wild west, but "Kung Fu" is its own genre. The teachings of Masters Po and Khan are wonderful and make you think about life.
This was a beautiful, emotional and at times terrifying meditation on life, loss, violence, technology, consciousness, free will and so much more. I was glued to the screen every episode. The set design and cinematograpy is simply stunning, the performances are excellent from everybody invloved and the soundtrack was just plain genius, from cavemen singing and eerie choruses to futuristic electronic tunes, this was a feast for the ears as well as the eyes.
This is one of those show that I don't sit down to watch with the sole anticipation of having it either cheer me up with comedy or shock me with dramatic twists. 'Louie' is something I watch because it feels like I'm gaining life experience from it, which is impressive considering Louis C.K., or at least the Louie character's self-proclaimed life goals are to raise his kids and hold his title as World's Best Masturbator.
This is a very funny romp through a Guardians-Of-The-Galaxy-esque universe filled with absurd characters and locales. The show pokes fun at sci-fi tropoes and is chock full of pop culture references, but the characters are still likeable. and the story is servicable so far. More please!
