I've always enjoyed escaping the drama, shooting, and so many scary things that happen daily around us, by watching movies. At least, I know that all is supposed to be unreal in movies. Enjoy them for what they are. Fortunately (or not), my job required me to be on computer 24/7 (almost) & therefore, I use my skill of multitasking & always watch something on a side window. Very very picky for comedy. This is a great way to keep track of my shows. My Reviews are mainly based on storylines.
After episode 5, I was thinking of quitting the boring and non-sense show that felt like the lives of the characters.
However don't like to quit so I watched the first season and I was happy to have watched it through.
I am still not sure of the message ENTIRELY and it is scary to think of our society becoming like theirs but I will watch for now.
For a while I thought it is like "The Truman Show" but then it started to become more like Stephen King's series.
S2E10: Story presentation perspective very modern and new age. I think one of the best all timers of my history, if NOT THE BEST. Five star. Still not getting it (story line), but loving it.
All good to the end and yet I did not get the meaning much.
S2: OMG! Let me just say so far, by far my all time favorite. It would be among the my all time favorite list, but the message I c, hear, feel and get puts it on top as #1. From creativeness, acting, music. Love EVERYThing about it (minus sex scenes, which I think are still unnecessarily a lot of them, call me old fashioned.) Did I say I love the music? How about creativity of the story and the way it is full valuable, simple and honst life lessons? LOVE the acting. Irony of it it all is that I love Lito. Why did I have to binge on S2 and now it is ended? I will watch it again like I did with S1.
S1: I start off by saying I loved where the story took me.
What I LIKED the MOST was the little lessons of life they offer each other in the most pure form, from their heart way. Simple facts of life each have experienced and share with their friends on the show and all of us watching.
What I DID NOT LIKE was the unnecessary sex to fill up time. We are all grown ups and know how it is done, we don't need to actually see it over and over. Those who need to learn and/or see it for whatever reason, there are porn movies exactly for this purpose.
It took me the first 3-4 episodes to get involved and really want to watch the next episode. (The anticipation of watching the next episode or even the next season is what stars mean to me on my review.)
I appreciate the variety mix of cultures, sceneries, sex orientation and other real facts of life.
I did NOT appreciate the nudity and the excess amount of sex in the first few episodes. (Although sex is a fact of life, but I consider those moments private), but then again I can understand they needed to fill up the time spot for the first few episodes until the characters are built and it is time to get to the story.
I was at a point that I thought of quitting the show. However, the curiosity in me that it can't be that bad if it is a Wachowski's work, kept me going and I did not regret it in the end.
Having said all that: I can't wait for the next season.
Seriously it is refreshing. It was a slow pick up and I am not a fan of narrative but somehow I watched it and I could not Stop watching.
Joe is such a creepy, freaky, loving person and I have not words for it. It is just an amazing character.
I love the story line. The first season was awesome and so different in many way than most apocalypse stories.
And I am watching the E1S2 and I am happy to have stumbled on this series.
I really enjoyed the first season. However there is too much Russians speaking with subtitles in the second season and very discouraging to watch.
I only watched it because of Anna Torv and first season was ok and fresh and new.
However after the first episode of the second season. I don't think I want to spend my time watching this show.
All I can say is that I am sad it is finished. I eagerly waited every season to start and every week to watch it.
I was giving up at S3E1 but I thought one more season and it will be done.
I love this series. Thank you. It is in the same line of 'How to Get Away with Murder' Just when you think it can't get worst, it does. It is brilliant and so many twisted stories going on at the same time. How comes this was skipping me? I am glad I found it.
It is a scary future to see. But talking from experience, I know all the F* up things are done in the name of God.
I am surprised I still believe in God.
