Hii! This is me trying to keep up with everything I watch. Enjoy the ride if you want :) P.S. I untrack shows I've finished (except favourites). Who knew we could only track 500 shows?! ;)
*Review written after watching all 6 episodes*
This has to be one of the most bizarre pieces of Oregonian history.
It is the story of a religious group spearheaded by a guru and his secretary which they moved from India to Oregon, USA. Once there, they built a community and tried to make it into an independent city.
As all interesting stories, it came to a head eventually, but maaaaaan this is one big roller coaster ride and if you are interested in documentaries about cults, religions, and humans finding themselves: definitely go and watch it!
Season 2 update: I might love season 2 even more than season 1. Still highly recommend.
Super heartwarming & fun. The Fab 5 really seem to connect with each make over candidate. They really put in the effort to get to know them and help them with their specific needs. All 5 seem to get along really well and it is just positive vibes throughout the each episode. Definitely recommend.
Not willing to support Michael Weatherly & the team that fired Eliza Dushku instead of addressing his bad behavior anymore, but you do whatever you want to do I guess.
Second half of the first season was immensely better than the first half, glad I stuck around! :)
This show is full of action, science, friendship, and cool DIYs. I never watched the original so I can't compare it to that, but the second half of the first season definitely competes with other action/crime shows on television (CSI, Bones, Criminal Minds etc).
I highly recommend watching episodes after the break before making up your mind about this show.
Can't wait for season 2 :D
I love how many different stars want to be on this show! It is super entertaining to watch and great for Halloween inspiration xD
Thoroughly enjoyable. Great build up & execution, kept me interested till the end.
Gripping documentary about Dave Holloway's search for the truth about what happened to his daughter Natalee. The episodes chronicle the investigation of this new lead, show behind the scenes footage, and also contain interviews with the team and Natalee's dad. Especially Dave's interviews are full of emotion. You can see the pain he has from not knowing what happened to her all those years ago. Very interesting documentary for anyone who doesn't know that much about the case, but this new lead will also be interesting to those who know the case by heart. Definitely recommend.
*season 1*
Great crime show. Every episode enticed me to watch another. Amazing performances by all of the actors.
I especially loved the setting. The outfits are amazing & it adds this extra layer of complexity since we all know that lawlessness was easier in the olden days ;)
Definitely recommend it! This is a beautiful mix of comedy and cooking show. In a lot of ways it reminds me of MTV's Snack Off. This has the same kind of silliness and nonchalance. I also really love the dynamic between Nicole and Jacques. A great mixture of fun, sweets & it gives you tips to be a better baker yourself :)
Great acting, amazing plot (it really sucked me in) & I especially like that Netflix cut this up for me in 6 parts.
The only thing that I dislike is that there won't be a second season, because I really need to know what happens next!
Definitely recommend :)
