Hii! This is me trying to keep up with everything I watch. Enjoy the ride if you want :) P.S. I untrack shows I've finished (except favourites). Who knew we could only track 500 shows?! ;)

Reviews

Amazing series about the survivors of the Church of Scientology. This show puts a spotlight on the misdeeds of the Co$ and covers stories such as disconnection, child neglect, breaking up of families, sexual abuse and consequent cover up, and overworking and abusing their staff. I definitely recommend this show.

Ps. Season 2 is just as amazing as season 1. ;)

While I am happy to see all of the Challenge series finally reunited, this also means that all of my reviews are gone... & any rating will be a weird mashup of good and bad seasons. Ugh.. well it is a good show. Some seasons are better than others, but if you like action, puzzles & daring activities (think The Amazing Race, American Ninja, Robinson Crusoe, etc.)with a cast of recognizable faces this will be a thing for you.

The Vanishing Women

*Note: to anyone planning on watching "Gone: The Missing Women of Ohio" as well, watch this one first. Gone has a lot of new information, that makes a great complement to this documentary. The other way around some parts can feel a little bit redundant/repeating*

Great documentary. Full of information. They spoke to a lot of people and give a good overview of the situation surrounding the Chillicothe 6. As mentioned in the note above, this is a great documentary for anyone who doesn't know a whole lot about the cases yet. If you have seen Gone first, only the final episode felt a little dull. Every other episode is still worth the time it takes to watch it

If you start watching this show, watch it in full. That final episode is what needs to be heard about this case.
This TV show gives a well rounded view of the whole case. It moves step-by-step through the events surrounding the disappearance and, ultimately, the death of Laci Peterson. It shows the media frenzy, inside information about the case and jury, and it shows where there might have been mistakes made & it highlight further options that might be explored. I really hope this documentary will give the families some peace or at least some closure, they definitely deserve that.

*note: if you plan on watching 'The Vanishing Women' as well, watch that documentary series first. This one is more fast paced and has new information/more of a investigation, The Vanishing Women has a good overview of all of the victims and the circumstances surrounding the disappearances*

Super interesting documentary about the tragic deaths of 6 (and more) women in Ohio. Definitely recommend this to everyone, especially if you love true crime.

I hope, with all of my heart, that these cases will be solved and their killers put behind bars one day & that these women and their families get the peace they deserve.

Definitely some of the conversations seem very scripted/fake, but all in all a very interesting show. I really like the feeling that you are right there looking for the truth with the investigators and this show totally brought that. I do feel very sad for most of the parents of the convicts. They really have had hard lives with their children behind bars & I hope this experience brought them some peace.

Recommend for people who like: Relic Hunter, The Librarians (more like the movies) & Indiana Jones.

This show is fun, fast & most episodes can be watched as a standalone. The second half of the season is definitely more entertaining than the first, so just power through :) I'm actually quite sad that there probably won't be a second season :(

Amazing historical true crime documentary. I absolutely loved every episode. So much excitement & suspense. Too bad it is only an 8 episode show, but hopefully Jeff Mudgett will use his investigative brain and bring us some more in the future.

I have absolutely fallen in love with Oprah's portrayal of Deborah. It is so powerful: it gripped me and took me on the emotional ride that Deborah's story is. I definitely recommend watching this movie (before reading the book). Based on reviews from people who have read the book first I can conclude that if I had done that too, I might have been disappointed. However I haven't read the book yet and, after seeing this movie, I can't wait to read it.

Cute and fun, only season 5 was a little bit of a let down so far. I hope they pick it back up in the new episodes ;)
