Flat TV

Once you've gotten used to the quick switches between Tom and Naz's interpretations of a grand variety of TV programmes it becomes quite addictive. It makes complete sense to watch Nasterchef as Naz invents his own sauce and the "next on" bits are hilarious. Naz and Tom play well together and I imagine them being a hoot to hang out with off set.

I love it when women get to kick ass and these two do. One of them is not exactly happy about it, but that makes for some seriously funny jokes. The humor is dark but sometimes also very straight in your face, which is a mix not seen often enough on TV. I love how opposite the two leads are and how they still manage to make it work. Watch it for the laughs, stay for Kerry Howard.

Some shows should stick to a single season or two. This is definitely one of them. I gulped up the first season because it was sharp drama that kept me guessing at who had done what and it played on the line between what undercover law enforcement could get away with. The second and third season tried to do the same but never really succeeded at it. Unfortunately I left the show with a bland feeling a shame with such a strong outset.

I do get why it was cancelled but I did like it. There was so much potential to go further and explore the characters more. Unfortunately it took them a little too long to get to that point. There is a lightness to this that I rarely see in comedies these days and I do wish that would stick a bit better.

Though not as brilliant as The Lizzie Bennet Diaries this is very close. The format of the web series is brilliant for the literary adaptations and I get into the story as with the novel. The ensemble plays well off of each other which makes it a fun end easy experience for all. I kept pressing "next" on Youtube - you should too - right now - go!

The only show I can think of to successfully incorporate a baby into the story and still be funny. Waiting for an announcement on renewal has been pure pain both times, so I for one can't wait for the third season. I shouldn't like this but I really do. I laugh all through all the episodes because it is genuine, and I find genuine funny.

Pride and Prejudice

This is the definite proof that something only 11 years old can be a classic. If you have never watched Colin Firth rise from the lake in his wet white shirt you've missed out on an icon TV moment. This is by far the best TV or Movie adaption of Pride and Prejudice and I've seen it all (including Lost in Austen, which you should just steer clear of).

Fan fiction is always a hit and miss. This is a definite hit. The casting is perfect and all characters have kept their magic from the original Pride and Prejudice but with a few years extra experience. The execution and the setting is keeping true to the original story, which is a definite plus in my book. I can't just stick to watching this once.

Even though this was a very short lived show the premise of it, along with the stellar performances, captivated the viewer. I loved this show, not necessarily for any single episode or for the story, which has honestly been tried and done better before, but for the overall experience. Anyone who watches this will not be left wondering what all the fuzz was about after the show was cancelled with just one single season in the bag.

BBC knows how to make entertaining TV. They have cast Joseph and Maria to the West End. This time they are casting young song, dance and entertainment talent for a Take That show. Gary Barlow is on it and on top Martin Kemp is there cheering everyone on with brilliant feedback rather than crushed dreams. I love live competitions in the UK.
