Veronica Mars

With the exception of Duncan everything and everyone is great on this show. In a recent opinion on why people should start watching The Good Place the following is presented: Kristen Bell is the perfect choice for a role that requires a bad person to be likeable. And Kristen Bell is. Veronica Mars is also the perfect character. I can look past a lot just because of this so adding that there is not a lot to look past five stars seems a bit low.

Fleabag

1½ minute in and I was already laughing loudly. Fleabag has a very direct and honest sort of humour that I often find annoying but here it really works. The characters have been cast perfectly - I am honestly impressed with their ability to keep straight faces for a lot of the scenes. It is worth a watch if you are into caricatures and/or extreme versions of every day people - who like the rest of us are totally messed up.

This will not be for everyone. London Spy is obviously made in Europe, which is made evident in everything from the story to the way it has been filmed. I find it delightfully different from much of the other spy/drama/crime that is out there on the market. The performances are stellar and who can't deal with sitting through only four episodes - I know I can, and you should too.

When this show finds its step it really does the genre good. It is a very typical ABC family show but Sutton Foster's easy and sarcastic twist added to it. The characters are well rounded and develop perfectly throughout the short run, but it is definitely worth a watch despite the lacklustre "ending".

This is another one of those shows that I really shouldn't like but really do. The latter seasons have declined slightly in "quality" but in general the supernatural story is there and for the most part the writers manage to keep the story straight and in check. I don't know any other show that manages to keep me guessing for so long and then somehow ties it all up nicely at the end of each season. But then I also don't know any other show that has Stiles and that is a shame.

You might think the world has enough supernatural shows but before this that was not true. Rose McIver is brilliant and I have been deprived of any proper Robert Buckley on my screen for way to long before iZombie brought him back. The villain is even likeable but still villainous. It is funny and well the CW has done good with this one! May it live on and on.

UnREAL

Two bad ass women rarely survive on TV these days but with UnReal that has all changed - when you watch it you know why. Appleby and Zimmer are perfect in their respective roles and the drama drags in the viewers episode after episode. Lines are crossed and as you think it can't get worse it kicks it to maximum power. I was uncertain of their ability to keep the moment through the second season but they have delivered. A true masterpiece about some of the reality TV that we have all gulped up by the gallon throughout the years in one form or the other. This is TV magic.

The IT Crowd

If you like cliches and easy laughs this is just the show for you. The phrase "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" never gets old and the IT Crowd is a must watch for eternal laughs. I love everything about this even the totally obvious puns and over the top drama.

I came here to drink milk and kick ass - and I've just finished my milk.

This show is badass. It has humour and ass kicking galore, which i love. Stephan and Rash are brilliant together and the duo makes this show worth every second. It is a love/hate relationship as you have never seen it before.
The cases are out there but still realistic, which is a rare combo. I'm personally waiting in anticipation for a (hopeful) second season.

If a show or a movie has but an inkling of Pride and Prejudice in the story, I will watch it! (This is how I sat through Lost in Austen, which can very much NOT be commended, if you have any love for Pride and Prejudice what-so-ever.) The Lizzie Bennet Diaries though, is a perfect modern rendition of this amazing classic by Jane Austen, and I re-watch this more often than I probably should. No one beats Colin Firth as an 1800s gentleman Darcy, but Daniel Vincent Gordh definitely takes the price as the best modern day Darcy. Ashley Clements is perfect as Lizzie Bennet and the story has been adapted to perfection. This is some of the best TV - though a web-series - ever made.
