Lord Sugar is great. Karren is harsh but fair. Claude has the best eye roll in existence. The contestants are mostly dramatic beyond compare but also very entertaining. On top of it all they have brilliant british accents so what not to like.
Women are badass and this is proof of it. Though through out it wort of makes you want to slap the men and tell them to get a grip for not noticing. Then you remember this was the 50s and unfortunately the norm. The cases are interesting and the women contribute eminently in each their way. It is also a different take on the post war period where women had to adapt to becoming regular, not listened to, housewives.
I really shouldn't like this but I really do. The first couple of seasons are definitely the best but throughout Jenna and all the troubles of her teenage-ness is a blast. It is light and definitely not something you should watch if you are anywhere near having teenagers on your own (it will only scare you) but otherwise just get going. I've been through it a few times by now.
This is tight in everything from story to the acting. I am generally sceptical when it comes to modern interpretations of historic novels but this works in every single episode. Both Cumberbatch and Freeman are superb but they are backed up by equally superb actors and actresses, which breathes new life to the never ageing stories from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Old or young you'll me mesmerized by this as has everyone else.
Only watch this if you are in a very stable emotional state or it will break you. It probably will anyways. If you can watch this show and not cry and feel like someone is ripping your heart out of your chest you are a robot. The performances are all stellar and I can't believe it has taken me this long to get started on this masterpiece of a historical portrayal of London'd East End in the late 50s and early 60s.
I expected this to be quite over the top and dramatic, but it actually touches on something relevant, though in a slightly exaggerated way. Britt Robertson makes Lux a whole character who is trying to figure out how to navigate her new found life, which is less hard than the one she has led thus far. Easy to watch and a shame it got cancelled so early.
Outstanding performance from everyone involved. I loved the pace of the show and the subtle hints in every actor's face as we progressed in the story. It was taken beyond the source material where it needed to and the writers ran with what was dealt (like a pregnant Olivia Colman). Everyone should watch this for it is truly TV perfection.
The show has been kept true to the plays, which will be perfect for some and scare away others. I enjoyed the experienced and exceptionel actors, from Rory Kinnear to Dame Judy Dench. Everyone involved have vast Shakespeare and theatre experience, which shows. Come for the actors, stay for the monologue.
Edgar Allan Poe always throws the worst parties. Like the worst of the worst. So why not go to one of them? This is your chance to do so and you will not regret it. Murder mystery dinner parties will never be the same after having been part of this one so brilliantly created by Sean and Sinead Persaud. Also, who would say no to a dinner with all of ones favourite authors. I for one wouldn't and if you're smart you shouldn't either.
It shines through that the cast had a blast making this - so go to YouTube and get watching! Now!
When you hear the show described for the first time - a musical drama on the CW, with crazy characters living their normal yet disturbing lives in West Covina California - you are intrigued. You then think it isn't for you but watch it anyway and that makes you fall in love with this crazy amazing shit show.
Rebecca is a completely relatable antagonist and yet so far fetched as a person that you want to hold her hand through it all. The entire ensemble makes this show worth every minute of it. Also there are musical numbers galore to sing along to and enjoy at any time in your life. I cannot recommend this show enough.
