Spring, 1998. Recently transferred to Yomiyama Kita Middle School, Kouichi Sakakibara (age 15) gets the feeling something isn't quite right with his class, who all seem to be afraid of something. He finds himself attracted to the strange yet beautiful Mei Misaki, but his efforts to get closer only confound things further. Then there is a horrible accident… What on earth is happening in this place?

Not only is he a damn good writer but he always points me in the right direction re: tv shows (and books!). I'm a total anime noob but really want to try it, I just don't know where to start. So, his excellent article on which shows might suit all of us really has made me excited about watching the shows I've included below, with more to follow. I'm dipping my toes in the anime pool! Yay! tyvm, tvfanboy!
