Interessting setting, great for Hogwartsfans, but while I find the general idea behind the characters good and entertaining, their portrayal continues to stay on the surface.

One of many school dramas. That does neither make it bad nor good. It was actually interessting to get a better image of what cheerleading is about and there were good stunts in it. Otherwise it was entertaining but as predicted not very deep. What I liked about the characters was the fact that there was no division into bad and good personalities, they had all flaws and strenghts.

It shows an interesting truth of our lives. We all have differents sides and fulfill different roles around all the people in our lives. Even if we decide for one role, there will always be the question of what else we could have been or could still become. That those questions define a long lasting marriage as well seems without doubt. The story raises these questions for a happy als well as unhappy couple as I would call it. But it can also give you incentive to think about your own roles and the parts you chose to play in everyday life if you let it.

Not very original and sometimes annoying. If you just want to relax in front of the tv the entertainment is alright. If you are looking for something to really hold your interest, I would suggest something else. Story and characters are mediocre.

I enjoyed it immensely as a child. Loved to watch it with the whole family. It teaches about family and friends, moral and values and all in an entertaining and touching way. Unfortunatly it might be to slow for today´s children, but it was a great show in it´s own time. I will at least try to get my children interested one day.

First of historically not correct, but most history movies/shows aren´t. Unfortunatly this isn´t this shows only flaw. I found the idea and the character Maria Stuart interessting at the beginning, but continue to watch only out of habit. It is made of course for a younger audience, which is why clothes and personal drama are typical teen-show. But there are too many strange and mysterious side stories, which annoyed me at the beginning and I now just skip through as well. I don´t find it mysterious, I find it laughable. If one ignores all those faults -exspecially the sometimes absolutly unbelievable storyline - the show can still be fun.

Fast paced and very entertaining teencomedy! It has some hidden criticism about the whole high school policy, which you may or may not (want to) notice. I found alsmost all the characters likeable and enjoy, that there is no mean adversary without any depth. Of course there is a lot of the usual teen drama, but then this is one of the reasons we watch it, isn´t it? ;)
edit: just started watching the second season. It seems to start een faster and we might just encounter another educating topic, which to be introduced in teen-tv I just have to support. I am all for teaching to have an open mind. Keep doing it!

Great idea and great setting. You can do a lot with this set familysituation in a small American town. One the one hand there are great episodes with interesting new points of view, lifestyle critics etc. On the other hand not every episode has got the freshness anymore, that made the show famous at the beginning. But to hold that high a standard over such a long time is no small feature. I still enjoy watching the show and also like to go back to the older episodes from time to time.

I would actually go as far as saying that this show represents a big part of the American mentality. I am not talking about the weight problems here, but the idea, that everything is possible for everyone. Shows like this are never as pretty as shown on tv, but the message itself still stays the same. It can be used for inspiration for oneself to remind us, that whatever goal we want to reach, success depends on our choices and hard work and most of all the ability to continute to get up just one more time. I don´t know if the people and stories are all true, but there are people like that out there and the show is a nice way to remember that.

Unfortunatly a disapointment. The story could have been made into quite an interesting show, but the chosen maincharacters as well as the plots are boring and unbelievable. Also I couldn´t take anything serious after seeing the kind of "costumes" they use. They tried to hard there for me.
