So far I have enjoyed the scale and grandeur of this series, giving a glimpse of the various worlds. I am looking forward to all of the pieces coming together.

Star Trek: Discovery

In the spirit of Star Trek TV series from the past, Discovery is going to be a great ride...
Episodes 1 & 2 had me begging for more, this is one of those shows that I wish was on cable, so that the entire series could have been shown today, in its entirety.
PS: The cinematography gives a real movie experience.

I am looking forward to this American adaptation. I saw the Australian production and thought the story was universal so now that it is here it will be interesting to see how it is received. The story is based on Christos Tsiolkas' best-selling novel. Each episode exposes each person involved in the SLAP, giving a back story of the character as well as their motivation/involvement in the SLAP. As in the Australian performance, a stellar cast has been assembled. Melissa George plays Rosie in both productions.

This show has the best action on television/cable!

Feb 8th - Not as hard hitting as it once was...

Never lived up to its potential...
If film making without rhythm is your thing, you will find a home in October Faction.
Starring many of Canada's stars, this ten episode series never got its footing. It reminds me of the earlier shows on SyFy tv.
Save yourself by reading the comics and start streaming after episode 5.
The time spent on developing the useless love story, that is constant throughout, could have been used instead to further the story line and its characters.
I had hoped for a better outcome.

Beware Extreme Violence!
This is not for the faint at heart. Had this show been spread out over a 13 episode season, I am sure it would have been difficult for me to return each week.
The grief exhibited by the Punisher was more pronounced then any other Punisher movies/videos that I had seen.
As stories go, many of the plot lines were anticipated, what wasn't anticipated was the gratuitous violence.
If this is your genre, you will not be disappointed.

Please let this one fly!
This gutsy ensemble which features Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Franco, takes a look at New York City during the 1970s and '80s when porn and prostitution were rampant in Manhattan.
I can only hope The Deuce doesn't follow the same fate as Vinyl (2016), The Get Down (2016), Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll (2015).

This hilarious Trek doppelganger is the best!
Although I have never been a Seth McFarland fan, this vehicle is perfect for him. Conversely, I have always been a fan of Adrianne Palicki, so I am enjoying The Orville.
Most of the drama takes place on a not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory ship in Earth's interstellar Fleet which helps expose the acting chops of Halston Sage (Neighbors,Paper Town) and Scott Grimes (Justified, Republic of Doyle).
All in all this is a great vehicle to jump-start the fall season .

Marvel's TV universe suffered a setback with this series!
If only episodes 1 through 12 were as good as episode 13. A partial utilization of Rosario Dawson's talent, an over utilization of Deborah Ann Wohl's (TrueBlood), made this a bumpy ride. Unlike Agent Carter and Agents of Shield, the directing suffered add to that, the lead, Charlie Cox, doesn't command our attention. I enjoyed Elden Henson character and major Kudos to Vincent D'Onofrio, his acting brilliance dominates the screen, no villain since since Keith Ledger's Joker has had so much control.

Veronica Mars is A Zombie!
Not your typical Zombie, Liv stir fries her brains with pasta and hot sauce before imbibing.
I like this show, starring Rose McIver who we have seen on Once Upon A Time and Masters of Sex. The incite she receives from the nourishment of these delicacies aids in the capture of heinous criminals.
The cast assembled here seem to compliment each other. If you were a Veronica Mars fan you should like this one, kudos to iZombie.
