I watched it because of the cast, but this show is definitely not for me.
This show is like the medical version of Sherlock Holmes. I love *almost* all of the characters, but I especially love the relationship between House and Wilson.
This show is ridiculous and unrealistic, but the characters are fairly likable which is its only redeeming quality. I'm not surprised it was canceled.
This was a good "I don't feel like thinking" show, with some good eye-candy. It's unfortunate it ended the way it did, because I ship Gerald's parents together.
I watched this show because I felt it was my nerdy obligation to do so. I continued to watch it because it is produced by Jonathan Frakes and because of the abundance of familiar names (Katherine Heigl, Shiri Appleby, Brendan Fehr, Nick Wechsler, William Sadler, Emilie de Ravin) and a new name I should have known (Colin Hanks). But in all honesty, I didn't really like this show very much. It had its good parts, but for the most part it was a show about unbelievable aliens with ridiculous powers that ended up being extremely over-dramatic most of the time.
I'm not usually a very big fan of James Franco, but I thought this mini-series was very well done. I haven't read the book, so I'm not sure how well it follows that (or history for that matter), but I did enjoy this show. I expected it to end very differently, but thinking about it, the moral is a good one. It's an interesting premise too.
I am abandoning Supernatural after 11 seasons. It is time to move on. I love Jared, Jensen, Misha, Mark, and all of the others, but many episode plots seem recycled and it just isn't holding my interest anymore. Misha's new role is very interesting, but that isn't enough to make me stay. I will finish out this season before I call it quits. Maybe I will finish it when it finally ends.
I have so much to say about this show, so I'm sure I will forget something, but here it goes...
1.) If you have been told that this is in the same universe as "Warehouse 13" and "Eureka," don't expect this show to fit the mood of those other two shows. They share only one character (as far as I noticed) and it does not have the light-hearted feel the other two shows share. Once you accept that, this show becomes much better.
2.) Gary is wonderful. I love him. That is all. ♥
3.) You know how some endings are hard to get over? This ending will probably haunt me forever. What a horrible ending! I hate show cancellations :'(
This show was a huge disappointment for me. Very few characters from the original returned, and those who did weren't around very much. The impending threat to the world never seemed real to me, and I did not get attached to any of the characters. The only reason I watched was to see what happened to the characters I loved, and some of those questions were never answered (possibly because it was only one season). It was good I suppose, but it definitely could have been better.
I really enjoyed Chuck. It was fun and exciting, but like any good show, Chuck was made great by the relationships (familial and friendly and romantic). My only complaint is that I think the show sometimes tried too hard to be different (SPOILERS!) with Chuck gaining and losing the Intersect more times than I can count. And season 5 was sort of a hot mess with (SPOILERS!) at least 4 people having the Intersect downloaded and people losing their memories and all of the "last missions" and other general craziness. Despite all of this, Chuck is still one of the best shows I have ever seen and it made me want to see more with Zachary Levi.
