The interaction of four adult sisters - the Sorelli siblings - an intelligent and quirky group living in Manhattan, who, despite their differences, are best friends. They all have a say in other's lives, which sometimes is great and sometimes not so good. Which means the show is seriocomic in the tradition of Friends, whose co-creator, Marta Kauffman, developed the series.
