I've visited Sidereel for years and love the community here! I watch all kinds of television as long as it's entertaining or smart. I love talking television so feel free to comment on my lists or reviews. Thanks for reading and happy viewing! :)
Younger is a fun raunchy comedy following older woman Liza, pretending to be a twenty something literary agent. The show is fast paced, funny, and has Hilary Duff. Could you really ask for more?
The 4400 is an intriguing show, centered around the return of 4400 missing people suddenly reappearing all in one place. Taken in different decades (But all someitme in the 19th century), they soon find each of these 4400 have one very important thing in common. If you enjoy supernatural /mystery of the week programs you will certainly love this high quality dramedy!
Log Horizon is an imaginative fantasy Anime set in a video game world. More light hearted (and funny) than Sword Art Online, this anime focuses on some of the more interesting aspects of living in a virtual world. NPC's, guilds, and alliances are all explored, more often than not in really funny ways! If you liked SAO (or Anime in general) give this show a shot!
Derek is the sort of show that grabs your heart and never lets go. It will make you laugh. It will make you cry. It will make you a better human being. Give this show a chance, you won't regret it!
Arthur has brought joy to millions of children around the world, and has one of the greatest children's show legacies. Based on the books by Marc Brown, Arthur is centered around main character Arthur Reed (an aardvark) and his adventures with his classmates. This show is always teaching valuable lessons and instilling positive values in it's viewers. If you need a show that is kid friendly or you feel like a bit of nostalgia, they don't come better than Arthur.
Outrageous, outlandish, and satirical as heck, The Boondocks is one of the most profound shows you'll ever watch. Constantly questioning cultural norms, this cartoon makes powerful statements on a myriad of important social issues. This show won a Peabody Award for it's ability to look critically at society and to make important statements on topics most shows are too afraid to talk about.
Legend of the Seeker is a fantastic fantasy show. Similar to Game of Thrones or Merlin, it takes place in a world of magic comparable to the times of yesteryear. With action, fights, romance, and more than a healthy dose of humor, Legend of the Seeker shines as a valiant example of a quality fantasy drama. If you enjoy shows with magical creatures, wizards, and a fair share of attractive people you should definitely check this show out!
Quirky and sort of an oddball Bob's Burgers is pretty dang funny. Not as crude as other adult cartoons but just as quality, this show's humor is nice for the most part. It can get raunchy, but for the most part it's a fun family friendly comedy.
The Guild is hilarious nerd comedy at it's finest. A cast of gamers meeting IRL ends up being a slam dunk for Felicia Day. This show is a really well done internet series, and in my opinion a show any television or video game lover should enjoy.
Bates Motel is a prequel version of Psycho set in modern times. What makes this show so successful is it's ability to tell a dark story well. Watching as main character Norman begins to unwind and his mother Norma protects is riveting.
