Saw it popping up on Netflix and decided "Sure, why not". It was a mix between a parody of the Justice League, a low budget indie film, all the "dark and edgy" superhero shows we see lately, and The Watchmen.
The costumes suck, there are 3 or 4 different plot lines running at the same time, with little to no connection to each other, and even a few "Revelations" we get from these, barely make any difference in the main one, or create a huge plot hole in an already thin plot.
Overall, it could have been a great short story, like, maybe a little less than an hour of runtime, but sitting through 7 episodes till the end? Nope.
Well, the series was awesome, with great design, good action and a really good story, in both of it's seasons!
The team was built with a purpose, not just "ok, let's give the sidekicks a place to crash", and while every episode was different, both seasons had a major plotline going on, either as the main episode theme or in the background. We had a steady presence of some of the big guns (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow etc) with both cameos or more active parts, without stealing away the scene.
The characters where developed and given more depth by the end, and the story really felt alive, continuing.
I'm with the rest of the fan base on this, that the CN botched big time by cancelling this series!
