This show is really great; not too many people are into this yet, but I think it has really great potential. This is one of those shows that you binge watch and scavenge the internet to find episodes of, because you cannot get enough! A real nail-biter!
I love the way that this show takes your typical fairy tales and puts a spin on them all so that they connect and intertwine. I'm always wondering what will happen next. The special effects are kind of bad in certain fairy tale scenes, but other than that it's a really compelling show!
If you haven't heard of doctor who then you must be living in the dark because your hiding from the silence (those guys are creepy). Clearly the fantasy element of the show has pulled in a huge cult fan base; it's a great show that combines science fiction, fantasy, great movie make-ups, great special effects, drama and comedy. He's the doctor - he can do it all! (trust me)
Anyone that has ever felt like a nerd, or like they didn't belong. This is a hilarious comedy that is surprisingly relate able - about a group of super-smart, super-nerdy, socially awkward guys, starting to fit in in the world of "way out of their league women".
The Walking Dead is by far my favorite show. It's so different than other shows on TV. Obviously zombies is a huge trend the last few years that doesn't seem to be getting old anytime soon, but The Walking Dead combines real life feelings and emotions with crazy special effects and fight scenes. The best part about this show is that the characters are truly believable; you empathize with them, you cheer them on, you are holding your breath when their in a tight spot, and crying when they get hurt. Such a great show that pulls you in.
I love this show. It's so much more than just a family channel show (which most people would associate with something that only 14 year old girls watch). I love the aspect of showing things from a deaf person's perspective and enlightening people on their struggles of living in a hearing person's world. But it's even much more than that - there is love, drama, secrets, and scandal. I'm really emotionally invested in these characters, and will be sad if it has to end anytime soon! Overall it's a great watch!
This HBO series is intriguing; They make the 'nothing' moments of life into a show that's still relatively interesting. If you can get past Lena Dunham's boobs hanging out in every other episode; the show has a compelling enough story line to keep you pulled in. All of the characters are fucked up in their own ways, which make them relate-able to the every day person.
If you watch big brother you will either hate it, or become a super-fan, there's really no in between with this show. It's wrong, in all of the right ways! Love, betrayal, friendships, comedy, cat-fights, competitions, strategy, underdogs, beasts, bros, and a little bit of moose lovin' EH! - Canada's with the big dogs now and has joined the legacy!
This show is hard to explain. Until you watch it you might not understand, and even some people still don't afterwards. If you have ever felt depression, or suicidal thoughts then this show will really strike a chord. I'm not even sure if it's in a good way or not either. Obviously it's good for society to shed light on these types of issues, instead of burying them like we've been taught to do our whole lives, but it's also very painful to watch, as it feels all too real. I have to give props to the actors and writers in this show. I really felt immersed in it, to the point where I went from fine - to uncontrollably sobbing at parts. If you have had suicidal thoughts and are thinking of watching this show, I would recommend that you don't binge it all in one day, and that you also have someone that you can talk to about it after some of the episodes, especially the final episode. It's not something that's easy to experience, and I think that's the point. I heard that it's coming back for a second season and am interested in where they will go with it, whether they will keep the same characters and focus on what happens to them afterwards, or maybe a new set of characters. Overall I would recommend the show, but with a warning of it's graphic nature as well as it's heavy subject matter that might be too much for some people, I'm still glad that I stuck through to watch it.
The Biggest Loser is a great motivational weight-loss show; also, you'll need tissues!
