How do I love thee, Television, let me count the ways. I simply love television and all the possibilities the medium contains. Be it mini series, long arcs in drama series or clutching my stomach from laughing at the antics in a sitcom. I'm especially down for a some dramatic comedy or comedic drama. I'm amazed by web series and floored over consistent character development. I have a deep love for British series, flawed characters and one hit wonders among other things.
This is quite affecting and makes me really doubt how the justice system in the US works. Besides the rather depressing subject matter of people making false confessions to murders they didn't commit, because investigators focus on one path and one path only. This is a well crafted documentary series that explores different false confessions and how they came to be. True crime fans are going to love this.
I love this show and the slice of life-ness if captures. It is unique in its approach to an coherent story and the ways that can be told. This is the story of New Yorkers and their lives though their interactions with The Guy and their world. I'm so happy that this got adapted to television, so it can get an even bigger audience and develop larger storylines.
It was a delight to watch Issa flex her comedic muscles in this little show. Issa is as always delightful and all her misadventures are entertaining, either laugh out loud funny or thank goodness that is not me cringe worthy.
The cinematography is absolutely stunning in this intense and well plotted drama. The use of the sweeping and isolate Canadian landscape acts as an extra character. The story is told in a before and four days later sections, which only heightens the intensity and urgency of the plot. Plus the acting is amazing with Annalise Basso doing some heavy lifting. I honestly can't recommend this enough. The ten short episodes will fly by.
A fun supernatural romp filled with a wide range of LGBTQ+ characters, vampires and monsters. And Keith Mars shows up as an overprotective dad in later episodes. Yes, please. Seriously, this is really good and I can't wait to see what they do with the feature length movie coming out fall 2017.
While I'm not a gamer, I quite liked this show. The games all fall into common tropes, but still manages to be actual characters. The effects and the all consuming feeling of them is what really draws you in and makes this show so much fun.
An great modern adaptation of the classic novel. The handheld camera styles makes for an intimate and real view on the happenings of the story. It is both lighthearted and fun as well as dark and intense. It comes out of nowhere, but it packs an emotional punch like few I've seen. Watch it and love it.
