The only reason I even tried this show was for the smoken hot Summer Gluad. I don't even think I watched it long enough to ever see her in it. It was horrid.
Having watched V since the begging, I was really looking forward to this show. I think it would have survived longer and held a high rating, had the writers not strayed so far from the original story. However, all that said, I still really liked it and have watched it all more than once.
I love Bruce Campbell! What more is there to say about this fantastic show. Has all the laughs and action and stupidity any good comedy needs. And of course all of Bruce's lone liners and the classy way he talks to the women in his life.
One episode in and I am hooked. Much like was the case with Game Of Thrones. Really hope this show makes it and proves to Netflix and the other networks that Netflix is capable of offering what everyone has wanted for years, being able to watch shows without having to buy the other 14 channels that no one watches.
Being a fan of the original black sludge in X Files and Love the infected in the 24 Days Later series, it was nice to see the two merged into one show. Fairly predictable and a very drawn out story line. But, still makes you want to watch the next one.
A huge fan of Primeval, well the first 3 seasons anyway. This was a good change almost back to it's roots. Hate it that Scifi cancels half of it's shows before they have a chance to take off.
I do not know how this show show got picked up for an additional season, much less a 3rd? I am a fan of all things funny and B-movie bad, but this is just....sad.
Couldn't get into this show during the first two seasons, but the witches in New Orleans fixed that for me. Thank you Anne Rice! Then seeing Katy Bates with a beard in Freakshow made my decade. Such good story telling and fantastic actors. It helps when you are a little on the twisted side of things. However, I feel that "normal" people can enjoy this show a great deal, as well.
Watching and reading all of the Harry Potter books with 2 kids and 3 nieces over the course of 10 ish years, it was hard to watch Daniel Radcliffe struggle out of the role as Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived. However, the first season of A Young Doctor's Notebook has finally proved he is not just the boy wizard. As flash backs happen this is unique, because of the way it is played out they are more flash forwards with the young doctor taking advice from his older self who is being investigated for heroin abuse that started as a way to cope as a new doctor. From one of my favorite quotes so far, when young Daniel stated that this hospital was in the "middle of nowhere". To which he was told, No, you took a train to the middle of nowhere. You had to take a carriage the rest of the way here. The long time resident nurse give him little help and the respect of a child that has not nor ever will in her eyes live up to the status of her "hero" doctor. The humor and life, all be it a dark mixture really balances his show out into a real feel documentary.
Vampire methos being one of my first favorite horrors, The Strain is a refreshing and new adaptation to the original monster. "Dracula" is not a suave lady's man, he is a lady killer! The Stoker roll could not have been portrayed by a better person. The Strain tells the story in a dark and sinister way that has not been done with vampires as yet. It had me from the pilot. There have been some slow character developments and some that hit it right out of the gate. And the number ONE reason that this is such a refreshing tale of the monster's side of vampires is that Dracula is a monster in every sense. Also, there will be no glitter or sparkling teeny boppers in this series.
