1) It's Bruce Campbell back in the ultimate roll of Ash Williams.
2) It's awesome!
3) Not a lot of CGI, but fire trucks full of blood being used on each show.
4) It's Bruce Campbell.
5) It's awesome!
I gave it 1/2 a star, because you can't give shows less.
Why are laugh tracks even still a thing? If something is funny my own brain tells me when to laugh. It is such a novel, biological invention. The scene of humor, that is. Usually when something needs a laugh track, it's because it's not funny.
And, The Great Indoors does not falter on that truth. I had been looking so forward to this show for some time, and was let down so badly, I didn't even make it to the first commercial break. Which I am sure was announced on the show as, "The Great Indoors, brought to you by Ambin. Because, if a pharmaceutical doesn't work, this show will!"
So, so very sad, and such a let down. I long for funny sitcoms. But, they fail me every time.
The first season of this show was so awesome! Kept you guessing, because it's more of a mystery, who done it, what is going on kind of show.
Then after all of that, we get the second season that just goes off on it's own little adventure. I don't know why the first story line was killed so soon? But it was too soon. And now it's just kind of out there and you're not really sure what is going on or what they are trying to tell as a story. I will continue to watch it. Just with out the anxiousness of that first season.
Very low budget. Yet, for acting alone, two pretty talented no name people made this series very watchable. Almost a Ground Hog Day ending with the prospects of more to come. Sadly there haven't been any more since the first found ended.
Have to love affordable video and editing equipment. Then all you need is a good software to put it out there for the masses. I know the big names and their deep pockets are not going anywhere any time soon. However, it is nice to see more and more low budget TV shows and movies. Indy type films have more heart and soul and most of the time a better story that connects with the audience, than the all action, all effects, too much 3D movies that forgot to tell a story along the way.
Don't get me wrong, I like both kinds, it's just nice to see a movie that can be propped up by a story and the actors, than just effects and action alone.
I was so looking forward to this show....
And the first two episodes were great! Started off with a 5 star without question. Then by episode 5 it had gone so far from what it started out as, it was almost unwatchable. The only reason I am going to give season 2 a chance is because of how season 1 ended. It gave me hope. Will watch and see?
I was really looking forward to this show. All of these people locked in a spaceship and sent out to find a new planet, but only being able to rely on their top of the line 60's tech and fashion and ideals.
*****SPOILERS*****he
The to find out it was pretty much a mind fracking, to see how the stress of all of this handles in the minds of the people that think they are on an important mission. The man "behind the curtain" who is to fond of meeting with their mind, and sneaking his way onto the "ship" to collect trophies of the woman he thinks he loves.
Other than all of the pure fantastic SyFy going on, it was an over all great show. Not going to hold my breath on it becoming a network series.
I have been a fan of zombies before they got all hyped up, when there were only 3 real zombie movies out. All George Romero. A lot of movies are just rip off of the last movie that came out. Max Brooks has two amazing books out which inspired countless other movies. Then came the re-make of Dawn Of The Dead and their fast zombies and ruined so much of the lore. iZombie is so good! She is only almost a zombie. One that I don't think has been done yet. As long as she eats brains she can hold onto her humanity, and at the same time help solve a crime or two. Her mono logs about what all is rambling in her head reminds me of the character "George" in, Dead Like Me. Her one friend, the M.E., that knows all of her secrets and is trying to help find a cure is one of the most likable TV stars I have seen in a long while.
Speaking of rambling....
The whole show, story's, actors, and writers are fantastic. You will not be let down and will enjoy every episode!
This is Daredevil WITHOUT, Ben Affleck playing the role. Of course it's going to be good and worth 5 stars! The second season should show how this show is going to go.
How can anyone every say anything bad of, I Dream Of Jeannie? I am not old enough to say I watched them when they came out the first time. But, back in the days of Nick At Night, I would watch, I Dream Of Jennie with my Granddad. From the black and white first episodes to the color episodes. And even the 20 years later TV movie. Never could complain. Even now if I happen to find it playing on some very end of the dial channel, I'll have to sit down and watch a couple. And remember all the laughs Granddad and I shared watching this beloved show of his.
This was such a great show. I have no idea why it is getting canceled. Sherlock mixed with Highlander, except for the fighting to the death part. Ioan plays the role of the immortal Doctor Henry Morgan. He has seen every death and experienced a few himself. Working as the Medical Examiner to help solve crime. I know it is a wore out gonrah, the whole CSI type cop and Doctor shows. However this one is different. Guess networks still want their cheap to do "reality" shows. And some day someone is going to have to rework the way ratings are calculated. It needs to include the people that DVR shows for later and the internet watchers, instead of just the live watchers.
