It seemed to have great promise. As the show progressed, I got the idea much of it was taken from old mythology and mixed with new science and too much pharmacology.
As far as the acting - WOW! excellent work all around. This was a show I couldn't stop watching until the end. Which was VERY confusing and seemed like they either cut it short or had different writers. Something switched in the style of the presentation. Where the story seemed too drawn out, it suddenly finished before I was ready for it.
The first 3 seasons seemed connected and well written - I LOVE this story. I don't know what has happend to season 4 after Amazon picked it up. I guess they couldn't get the same writers? I didn't check but it's a lot different. They have puhlenty of gratuitous fowl language that makes it seem like you're watching a highly edited version of the episode and missed what happened to cause the outburst. Very strange. I still love the story line, it's just a difficult ride along the way. Hopefully they'll do better on season 5. It's also nice that most of the time they take real physics into consideration and make it part of the story. There are only a few, only slightly noticeable departures. That certainly adds to the pleasure.
