One episode in and I'm HOOKED! This drama has all the rawness of indie shows combined with the highest quality production, photography and soundtrack... And the best thing of all is it reminds me of Six Feet Under in a way. Will be happy to give it 5 stars if it stays that way till the end of the first season :) Highly recommended!

Jane the Virgin is my favourite TV show. Ever.
Why? Because it is one of those rare productions of the calibre of Amélie Poulain, where the story is neatly and magically wrapped up in a big red bow and sprinkled with fairy dust. The telenovela-inspired and completely over-the-top storyline is ridiculous but only enhances that fairytale atmosphere further with a tongue-in-cheek sense of humour. And, having grown up in Spain and being in awe of Latin American culture, I think this show signifies a real breakthrough for Hispanic communities by giving them a huge voice through these characters. Never before had I heard so much Spanish being spoken on a mainline American TV show... That's just the icing on the cake for me :) I recommend! xxx
