Very funny, often light show, despite the characters having their struggles and disputes. Love the quirkiness of the animations even more than in Bojack Horseman, content-wise not to be compared since she only animated that one. I personally love the swearing and the feminist vibes, the plants are my favourite characters (like, seriously). Only downside so far is that I cannot see a fully coherent story but I am so curious where the show takes us. Just gets me in a good mood without being superficial! :)
This is a priceless classic, in my opinion. Kinda like a very old-fashioned and therfore more tame version of Archer, this series comes up with the craziest ideas and manages to walk the fine line between humour and stupidity so well, that it is absolutely hilarious. Some of my most favourite recurring things are the cone of silence, the shoe-phone and Maxwell trying to trick someone ("You are surrounded by 50 men!" *bad guy doesn't believe it* "Would you beliiieve... 20 men?"). If you enjoy this show I can only recommend the movie to you - they managed to capture the serie's spirit wonderfully and didn't lose the humor.
I really liked the idea of several people being able to connect and help each other out. I also liked the different characters and that there was one lesbian and one gay couple included, since the main theme of this series is friendship and love. That being said, the emphasis on all of the people having such a powerful connection and being able to get through anything together got very one-sided for me at some point and the characters started to seem increasingly one-dimensional with the focus on each's one and only skill which made them overly powerful, as well, and on their relationships (everybody had a partner (or more) in the end). I was positively surprised by the beautiful wedding scene, absolutely HATED the ultimate ending, however, where all of them had lenghty sex and were shown next to one another while engaging in it. It made me feel dirty somehow... Would recommend watching especially for fans of fast-paced action and (in my opinion superficial) happy endings.
