A twenty-something year old from the UK, with a passion for TV and a penchant for Aaron Sorkin.
Possibly the best comedy (and maybe even the best show) ever created. Archer drops you into the world of ISIS and invites you to revel in their ineptitude and hijinks. The show is masterfully written and the characters lovingly crafted.
Do yourself a favour and invite all your fun-lovingly friends over, sit yourselves down in-front of the TV and enjoy 7 seasons of amazing TV.
As the title suggests, the show holds a mirror up and shows us the pit falls that modern society has. Often showcasing enhanced technology it shows us the not too distance future and how human nature, with the help of advanced technology, can be warped into something almost evil.
Each episode is a stand-alone story that addresses a different aspects of modern life; my personal favourite being 15 Million Merits.
In the early seasons the relationship between Booth and Brennan has to be one of the best leading partnerships in any crime show; it's definitely what got me invested in the show. From there the show's real strengths are developed: the sharp dialogue and fascinating plot-lines are all tied together by the chemistry between the characters.
Unfortunately, as the series goes on the show loses it's way, the season-long cases become less compelling and the show settles into a week-in/week-out plot. Having said that, I am quite impressed at how long the show manages to stay interesting. Most procedural crime series get tedious much faster.
Even still, with the exception of 'Castle', this show is the best crime show still airing.
Cleverly taking the best parts of telenovelas and more traditional dramas, Jane the virgin has created a hybrid show that stands out from the crowd. The acting is solid and no-one pulls focus (although Gina Rodriguez as the eponymous Jane does shine a little brighter than the rest), creating a brilliant ensemble effect. I cannot recommend this show highly enough.
I'll keep it simple. This show connected with me, it connects with everyone that watches it. It's an amazing show.
The best superhero show on TV. The strong cast is lead superbly by Stephen Amell. The plot is intriguing and moves at a fast enough pace as to not get stale. Definitely worth a watch.
Great show with an addicting plot. James Spader is great as Red and really brings the whole cast together. Megan Boone could be better but her performances are passable at the very least and she shows flashes of greatness.
Such a great show. It further adds weight to the old adage that the best stories are the true ones. I had to keep reminding myself whilst watching that this is real life, that this actually happened and that these people are in prison as I type this and almost certainly as you read this.
No episode is bad. That may not sound like high praise but that's notoriously difficult for a comedy show to do. This is everything Girls could have been if it had stopped trying to be 'edgy' or 'real' and instead was just piss-yourself-laughing funny.
Surreal cartoon that manages to combine the fun required for a kids shows with adult themes. A must see for children and adults alike as the life lessons it has to offer are applicable to all ages.
