Wow this show was really surprising, It was a lot different than the previous two Stargate series. It was darker and arguably more realistic. It reminded me of a cross between the rebooted Battlestar Galactica and Firefly. Sad it got canceled after only 2 seasons. It left to early, which seems to happen to a lot of my shows. A nice dark sci-fi show with complex characters who are never 100% good, or evil, well, usually. 7.4/10
I am really enjoying this show so far. Yeah it's a little cheesy but it's cheesy in a good way, if that makes sense. And it is set in the Arrow universe, or I should say the same universe as Arrow. So if you are a fan of that show you should check it out, be warned though, it's a different tone than Arrow, more light hearted. All in all it's very enjoyable and can't wait for the crossover with Arrow in a few weeks (as of this writing).
I think this could have been an interesting series. Just from the one story, I found loads more interesting and entertaining than Caprica. This should have been the prequel we were given instead of that show. Check it out if you are a Battlestar Galactica fan and like me suffered through Caprica because you wanted more of that universe.
Elementary is better than I thought it would be. I remember I first I was like, "Really? They are doing an american modern day Sherlock Holmes? That's just gonna be a rip off of BBC's Sherlock" THEN there was the FEMALE Watson and I was like, "Yep, no way this is gonna be good. Not watching this.
Then I think I saw a trailer or something and I thought I might just check out the pilot. Well I did and I really enjoyed. Elementary is its own thing, its unfair to compare it to Sherlock. The more Sherlock holmes the better I say. Plus it is a nice tide me over between seasons of Sherlock.
All in all a pretty decent show that takes the Sherlock Holmes stories and twists them in unexpecting ways. 7.4/10
This was an awesome prequel! I have not seen the eighth doctor tv movie yet (I am an New Who fan who is currently making his way through the old doctors, currently on the fourth doctor.) Anyways even not knowing much about the 8th doctor I still loved this prequel and now I really want so see more of the 8th doctor. It would be cool to see the 8th run into the 12th or next year during the 10th anniversary of the new run have 8, 10, 11, and 12 team up (and 9 if they can get Eccleston.). So all that to say the the prequel was great and got me more interested in earlier doctors. 8.5/10.
Very good show. I agree with many that the second and third season weren't that great. But I think it picked up for season 4 and I definitely would have liked to see a season 5, especially with the way they ended 4. Curious to see how Heroes: Reborn turns out. Anyways this show had a lot of potential that unfortunately suffered during its second and third seasons and wasn't able to recover ratings wise during season 4 to warrant a 5th season. 7.5/10
This is an alright Sci-Fi show. I've stuck with it over four years over all the weirdness and questionable plot choices. But it is one of the only shows I watch during the summer so it's good summer entertainment to tide me over until all my other shows return during the fall. I am a little sad that it will be ending next year. That being said I think 5 seasons is a good run for this show. Hope they go all out with the final season and return it to the quality of the first two seasons. 6.8/10
9/1/15 Update: So after watching the series finale I got to say, I got a little choked up. Yeah there was some dumb stuff in that finale and the season overall. But it was still sad to know we won't see these characters again.
Overall, it is kind of disappointing seeing the quality dip after season 2 and never really recover. There were still some good developments and twists and characters in the rest of the seasons, but nothing to the level of the first two seasons. I think I will update my rating for the series as a whole at 6.7/10.
This is a great show. When I first saw the trailer for the premiere I was really impressed with how entertaining it looked. I was also worried that it might end up being overly cheesy and dumb and to much like Underworld. Glad I was wrong! Awesome show and I hope it gets renewed for a third season! 7.5/10
This was an interesting film set within the Battlestar Galactica universe. I don't see it as especial viewing for the series, but it was a nice little addition for fans.
A decent entry into the ongoing Arrowverse. not quite as good as Arrow, the Flash, or Legends, but personally I think it's better than Supergirl. It's not must-watch TV yet, but if you enjoy the rest of the DC shows on the CW then you should like this one.
