At age 10, Fanny Price is sent by her destitute mother to live with her aunt and uncle, Sir Thomas and Lady Bertram. She develops a close tie to her cousin Edmund, which is threatened by the arrival of scheming, manipulative siblings, Mary and Henry Crawford.
