Amateur inventors and homegrown innovators pitch their products for a chance to secure investments in "All-American Makers." Each episode features four top do-it-yourselfers from the U.S. advertising their inventions to Printrbot founder and owner Brook Drumm, mechanical designer and robotics expert Brian Roe, and venture capitalist Marc Portney. Drumm and Roe put the products through a series of rigorous tests, and those that pass are subjected to further scrutiny by consumer focus groups. After analyzing all the feedback, Portney decides whether he wants to invest his own money to help bring products to store shelves.
