This show, while short, is definitely among my favourites. It has a strange sense of humour which is blended with Aesop-style ideas and old Disney art. Similar to the surreal settings of Alice in Wonderland, this is definitely an instant classic for myself.
Yet another fantastic addition to Syfy Channel! I'm really happy with the content they're been putting out these past couple of years, including their upcoming content.
This miniseries was amazing; budget, acting, effects, ideas, the works. It makes me want to read the book, which I'd say is a good thing!
At first, I loved it. I loved the show, and the idea of the show. A one season show with a clear beginning and ending? That's what was promised! And we certainly got a beginning, and it was a great beginning. It carried on to be a great show, minus the last 5 mins. I mean, seriously? You say it's going to have a clear ending, then end it on THAT note? That's not a clear ending, that's a grab at wanting a second season. If it had ended five minutes earlier, that would have made a great series finale. I'd have been happy.
Very exciting to see a new idea! It's been a while since Syfy put out anything good (that wasn't cancelled after one season).
Ascension is very stylish and thought-provoking, and I'm hoping for a good ending!
