When I found this show i thought it was just going to be a program about a girl living with being a plus size girl in a size 0 world of modeling, much like Drop Dead Diva was for the law office. Wow I was super surprised and a little in love. Not only is about the above its so much more. It has social justice, it has rom-com drama it has a little mystery both criminal and who done it. I wont spoil it for you as it is a must see to understand kinda thing. But if you are part of the world that finds yourself feeling less than and in need of a boost baby watch this.
Normally i am not into robot shows. I find them predictable and a little old hat, Humans, though, has something that has got me hooked.Each episode I am running through the gauntlet of emotions and often find myself yelling at my computer screen demanding another episode.
If as a viewer you aren't into sci-fi or science gargin this is not the show for you. If you have a limited capacity to see past your own needs it isn't either as you will find it a little preachy on the subject of slavery, indentured servitude and sweat shop like treatment of the disadvantaged "robots"
But thats just my two cents.
Well, then, there, now. I wasnt sure what to write, on one hand I enjoy the show, love Tom Hardy, love the cast, but on the other not a fan of the use of the term used for black slaves{Not Negro the other one}, not a fan of the incest is ok cause its true love bull{ so over played and way wrong. } All in all not a bad show , so I will watch for a while.
Westworld is a new concept on an old tale of man versus machine. I love the way they set the struggle in the wild west, a time when the most modern of tech was the upcoming steam machines. Westworld seamlessly blends the western with the sci-fi modern world right down to the background music. My favorite part is the way that they take modern songs like Black Hole Sun and Paint it Black and turn them into western twangs that are beautiful and chilling at times. I look forward to listening { and watching } to this show if just to try to figure out the songs they are using.
I love this show. More often than not shows like this are about women. It is nice to see a man in what is considered a woman's role and how he copes with it rather than the other way round. Plus the comedy and sarcasm is so on point i cant wait for more.
She-ra is to little girls growing up in the 80s as He-man is to little boys. It gave us a role model who was not just a princess but a total bad-ass. The only thing is they made her counter part alter ego so flaky. But that was the 80s and then and now its a great show for the little "princess of power".
Why is it that shows that depict woman during the war as the leads dont last long? Bomb Girls is another example of an amazing program that offers a perspective on what it was like for the women left behind during world war two. I personally find this interesting as my grandmother was a land girl in england during the war. She met my grandfather in england and they she moved to Canada right before the war was over.
Seeing the way women worked so hard to support our armed services, navy and airmen reminds me how strong those bonds of togetherness use to be. It makes me hopeful for that again. Shows like Bomb Girls should be given more of a chance especially when they are this good. SPOILER: the part where the girl gets hooked by the bomb making machine was equally terrifying and emotionally wonderful. To see the way her friends cared for her was so toughing, yet the action was "entertaining"
Anyway thats just my two cents.

Despite being a rom/com/corny/ action adventure shoe ,where its neither good nor bad typical of the late 90s and early 2000s the first season is quite good. However the second season is definitely what killed it. Not only did the change the theme { which generally signals the show is about to tank }they made it more rom-com then action adventure and added the hint of supernatural to it that gained popularity at the time.{probably in a bit to gain more views}
All in all not a bad watch if you have nothing better to watch and dont mind a bit of inconsistance in the story mood oh and alot of corn syrup.
I love this show. It can be predictable and it can be a little campy but like a best friend you have known all your life you couldnt imagine a not seeing them at least once a week.
Death Comes to Pemberley is one of those shows that you wish there were more episodes because its so damn good but your glad there is not because it would run the all over flow. I loved this mini show. It mixed the novel and the new seamlessly.
