Polarizing. I quite liked it for it is a dark, dystopian realitiy. 'All is fair in love and war', and sometimes love IS kind of a war.
What would you do for love? Where is the line. Could you stand back and hope for the best, or would you do something to prove your worth?
Fortune favours the bold.
Back to the review part of this review: Quite dark relationshipdrama with a touch of Dexter.
Quite okay show. Not awesome though.. it is slow and twisted.. but in the end it all makes sense. I would not recommend the show, for there are many better or entertaining ones, but if it already catched your interest, you definately should give it a try. But do not judge to hasty. Either you like the first few episodes (finish it then) or you dislike (cancel then!).
I had a really slow start into the series. But midseason (ep. 5 or 6) there was a moment which did the trick for me. I was kind of hooked.
Getting this far was due to a recommendation of a friend.
Therefore if you gat a similar problem with the first few episodes, let me tell you that it might be worth it to stay tuned.
The first season as a whole is good and sound.
Really good Show. It took me a while to figure things out which were complicated due to the whole timetravelling and therefore different epochs.
But in the end most of it made sense. I really look foreward to a second season!
Top Show! The first two seasons blew me away. Really good storyarc, reasonable (yet not foreseeable) twists, relateable charakters!
Just watch it. There are not many shows I rated a 5/5.
I like the idea of a charakter who came back from hell. After having seen the Movie, I was looking forward to the show.
The only disappointement was that the show was cancelled after only 1 season.
To bad.
The first 2 Episodes felt like I know everything what happening and everything that is going to happen.
Then came a break which was nessesary for me to start enjoying the series.
Yet it was merely okay. I saw the actionscenes way to foreseeable and therefore it didn't get me.
I have seen worse and even for me it was okay..
I believe that there are people hyping the series.. and maybe you will.
Give it a try, but don't expect a masterpiece
I love this Show for it's display of an authentic sociopath. I often can relay on his troubles of understanding emotional reactions.
There is always an argueable, more logic reation, than an emotional one.
On top of that Micheal C. Hall is amazing in this roll. The setting is neat and I regularly longed for being there.
Though, I should mention that a friend of mine watched the Series and hated it's bizzarre storytelling, which he (so he says) often was able to forecast.
I, on the other hand, had no problems with the story and often found myself baffeled on behalf of some twists.
I recommend giving it a try. If you don't like it after S1, feel free to stop watching it.
