Shonda Rhimes writes women who are strong, diverse and unapologetic. It's no surprise fans keep coming back for more.
A perfect series for anyone yearning for the moody alternative feel of the nineties.
With its lighthearted humor, ridiculous plot twists and touching moments, Eureka is a treat for Sci-Fi fans of all ages.
The bumbling sheriff is more awkward teenager than responsible adult, but his "every day man" attitude combined with a bit of accidental wit, charm and sex appeal is what takes this show from flop to favorite.
Guest spots from Felicia Day (Dr. Horrible, Supernatural) and a few of our favorite folks from Warehouse 13 are just icing on the intellectually stimulating cake.
The Closer, with its cast of flawed but likeable characters, was never more than a step away from painting all women as moody and impossible to deal with at work. But the talented Kyra Sedgwick found a way to make Brenda Lee Johnson not only relatable but endearing. Her relationship troubles, stubbornness and questionable life choices were more quirky than irritating and viewers often cheered her on despite her serious lack of ethical boundaries. The show ended after 7 great seasons, leaving us all feeling like we hadn't had enough.
Supernatural picks up where Buffy left off, filling that void with self-deprecating humor and cheese laden wit. It's sure to turn almost anyone into a super-fan.
There are few shows I would fight to keep on the air; this was one of them. Well written, creative, full of drama and potential for really interesting plot twists. But, as seems to be the current trend, the smarter the show the less likely it is to stay on the air.
Here's to hoping someone (Netflix, cough, cough) sees fit to give it another chance.
