First of all, I love this show, but that being said It took me awhile to get into this series and I'll be honest, I REALLY wanted to. As a superhero/comic-book nerd I am all for these types of shows but Arrow was different. And season 1 was kind of rough for me, but re-watching them I am not as lost. Arrow, however, is one of those series that just keeps getting better and better every year. The deciding factor to buckle down and watch this show was when Felicity showed up on The Flash and I immediately fell in love with her character.
There is so much to say about Charmed that I really don't know where to begin...might as well start at the beginning. In 1998, just from the very first episode when it aired I was HOOKED! I was absolutely in love with the entire idea of three sister witches with magical powers fighting demons. The graphics were pretty ahead of their time and even now looking back I don't often lose focus from the story. Season 1 through 3 were by far my favorite, focusing more on the magic and fighting than the overall theme of having tight family bonds. By far a huge recommendation for any witch/magic lovers out there. If you're just going to watch one episode I would definitely suggest the pilot, "Something Wicca This Way Comes." It's where it all starts and the late 90s feel to the filming is very nostalgic. Other than that I really enjoyed "All Halliwell's Eve" when it introduced an older style of magic. GO WATCH IT.
For a super power geek, I just never got into this show. I really want to...I kind of started getting into the characters in the first couple of episodes but I just never returned to it. I'm hoping when I get some time I can marathon through these two seasons.
As a die hard Charmed fan I was really excited to see what this show had to offer. Initially while watching it seemed like an off-reboot of Charmed but it really brought more to the show. It was darker, and grittier, and I loved it. The four main girls were fantastic a family of witches and the two male leads were pretty easy on the eyes lol :) Unfortunately the show's popularity didn't last more than 2 seasons. However, it still has a growing petition to bring the show back especially with the cliffhangers that were left at the end of the series.
I really enjoyed this show even though it only got a measly 20 episodes. Naturally with the plot of a family with super-powers is amazing (IMO) it just didn't seem to get the ratings. I personally loved the chemistry between Michael Chiklis (who is amazing in general) and Julie Benz; they played a very believable and lovable couple. I wish this show would have gotten another chance it didn't seem like they were running out of ideas and not to spoil anything but Rebecca Mader guest stars in the later episodes and I absolutely love her!
A swing and a miss. It's not the worst cartoon I've seen and maybe not even the worst show based on a game but the show just doesn't seem to get it. I personally dream for an amazing Zelda show/movie but this was definitely an early 90s attempt to make $$ off of a very popular game. A brunette Link? Who does that? There's only 13 episodes, if you want something to play in the background and you are a fan of the Zelda series, try checking this one out. If not, you're not missing out.
5 stars! Be prepared to have Jessica jones and her nemesis Kilgrave become household names like Professor X and Magneto. This was amazing! Unlike Daredevil where I felt it was a little hard to get into, this show was hard to get OUT OF. So many gripping scenes just made me want more! A phenomenal cast with great writing and the cinematography can even at times feel as if it was coming right from the pages of her comic book. Jessica Jones is a superhero that we can relate to and Kilgrave is simply bone-chilling! Can not wait for season 2 and the subsequent spin-off Luke Cage!
I have only seen the first season of this show but it was ABSOLUTELY hilarious. The two leads are perfect together and I'll be honest, I watched season 1 in one sitting...just that good!
I really want to know what's going on with this series but the first couple episodes were not holding me down.
I never actually finished this series but I remember the first season fairly well and I really enjoyed it. As a fan of the books, I really feel they could have done SO much more, but it's always nice to see a good book series on TV, whether it's amazing or not that great. I will be finishing up this series at some point...I'm curious to see where it all goes.
