Although a good show I think that this show is very slow at times and can be boring.
Good show. Glad I saved this and watched it all at once. It was much easier to keep the story straight. I keep expecting to see Kiefer Sutherland pop up because the show has similar pacing to his shows, each episode answers very little and asks more. Very much like a 24 season, or Designated Survivor did in the first season. If you like shows like that and you liked Kiefer Sutherland's show TOUCH, you will like this.
Binging is a must though.
FYI - Kiefer Sutherland is not in this.....yet. LOL
This show is how a sci-fi show should be! Great writing, futuristic tech that is actually foreseeable. I love all the hidden details and easter eggs in the writing and in the background. This is what you get when the source material is amazing. I understand why it ended after 6 seasons, the 7th book starts 28-years into the future and that would be hard to make that aging realistic.
if I had to guess (based on the books):
season 7 -> 6 episodes (buildup)
season 8 -> 10 episodes
season 9 -> 10 - 12 episodes
Love the series. Definitely worth it.
Wish I could give this show 10 stars! Love the concept and how the story keeps you guessing. A pleasure to watch. Patrick Gilmore's character (David) is so fun to watch, and his naive nature adds comedic relief to parts of the show. His reactions to some of the situations are like how many of us would react and it's hilarious to watch me try to make sense of everything. I hope The Director sees this and allows us to see a Season 4!!
I love this show. Well written plot. Makes you tear up at the end of every episode. Shows how when a group of people work together in stressful situations, they band together to form a family. Love that there is not the gratuitous drama for the sake of drama. Interesting plot points that avid TV watchers might not see coming.
I didn't think I'd like Rob Lowe, but his character was written to be interesting and add a new dynamic to the show in the later seasons.
Angus and Mario's banter and their actions ring true as how friends act.
Sad they canceled this, I wanted to see another year of residency. Would have been a great 4 season arc finale. The student becomes the master, but still having a lot to learn trope.
We will miss Momma and Daddy, and the Civic Cathedral that is Angels Memorial.
I tip my hat to Dr. Ryan McGarry. Great Job.
I know this show is meant to be about the racism problem in America. But the characters in this show are not real people. The show just beats you over the head with rhetoric.
Episode 5 was a powerful statement but every other word the characters say is adversarial and makes the audience understand why the rest of the campus hates them. Not because they are black, but because all they talk about is being "A Black Person in America." I went to college to get a degree, not to talk about racism 24/7. Why don't these characters talk about normal day to day topics?
The sup-plots could also be more unique and not so surface level.
The series 80% of the time, comes off as not genuine, and caricatures of black stereotypes.
