So I expected this show to be ridiculous, and don't get me wrong, it is. The supernatural elements of the show tend to lean towards the absurd, but they've actually found a pretty fascinating way to tie the original Sleepy Hollow story into all sorts of apocalypse nonsense, which makes the show's plotlines sustainable. But let's be real here, the main reason all the girls in the office watch is Ichabod. He is damn sexy and has a British accent on top. Yum.
It's funny about 40% of the time... not laugh out loud funny, but a few chuckles. The rest of the time you're wondering who thought this show wasn't going to be offensive. As my boyfriend put it, "I generally avoid shows that make rape jokes".
I find this show to be rather hit or miss... Every once in a while there's a brilliant episode that completely lampoons our society, but in between there's a lot of episodes that pretty much consist of "boy humor". Not to my tastes.
Oh man, this show started out so goooood. The first season is killer (Zachary Quinto makes sure of that - Sylar is still one of my favorite tv villains ever). Sadly, things devolved a little after that first season.
A classic... I remember watching this as a very small child, I'm quite certain its influence is at least partially why I'm a geek.
I'm not usually one for crime shows, but I do love a good comedy, and this show perfectly blends the two. Admittedly, the show got a lot weaker as the series wore on, but what show doesn't, and the first couple seasons are gold. So many inside jokes, keep an eye out for the pineapple!
I used to love this show! ♥ the kickass female lead.
This is an amazing show... Lovers of NPH absolutely must see it (and Nathan Fillion fans as well). I only wish it were longer.
Ok, so the show devolved a lot in its later years (too many storyline arcs, not enough office shenanigans), but the first few seasons are some of my favorite tv ever. The last season was really hard to watch, but at least the series finale was quite satisfying and enjoyable.
Ahh this show is amazing, and really rewards repeat viewings. Even if you've never watched the show, you're probably familiar with a bunch of its inside jokes, that's how pervasive the show is. Sure, the fourth season was a bit of a mess (though the GOB & Tony Wonder episode was FANTASTIC), but I'll still be at the front of the marathon queue if they come out with a 5th season.
