I'm not the target audience for this one being a 49 year old female, but I've gotta say I thoroughly enjoy this show. It's my guilty pleasure I guess. I love the premise, the writing, the acting etc. and the subtle humor is a bonus as well. Seems like it could run for a couple seasons with so many possibilities for Liv eating different unfortunate victim's brains. Five Stars and big thumbs up for iZombie!

This is a beautiful show about motherhood in our century -- a show that shines a realistic light on a variety of painfully funny parenting moments. Actress Pamela Adlon's performance is authentic genius in this honestly funny, touching story that so many women will relate to. Her character Sam is doing the best she can to lovingly guide and raise her kids without worrying about being judged for her choices. She is unapologetically human and I believe that's what delivers the show's magic appeal. If you don't have kids, you may not be able to appreciate this show completely. This show is not one for adrenaline junkies or anyone who lacks a sense of humor about life. I say give this show a chance. It might surprise you. But if it doesn't appeal to you, just switch the channel--don't criticize art that you can't understand.

I simply love this show. The initial premise is a stretch but keeping Mike's secret creates wonderful plot tension for all the characters. Another plus is how each season reinvents itself by taking us outside the firm when Mike's choices put him on different paths. I honestly didn't care much for his becoming an investment banker in one season but the characters are all so fun to watch that I just couldn't stop. You can always count on Harvey & Jessica to fight with all they've got to bring home a win in spite of any number of obstacles. Seriously, who wouldn't root for them. Of course having help from the force that is Donna (Harvey's assistant extraordinaire) and the quirky, flawed, lovable Louis only adds to the delicious flavor of each episode. The cast is excellent and the writing has the perfect blend of drama and humor. I highly recommend this one.

Well to be completely honest I watched the first season because the creepy, bizarre, mystery behind the town etc. made me curious. After the Abbie business was explained, I was less satisfied with the overall story. ( I won't say too much about that because I don't want to spoil anything for the new viewers.} Were it not for Matt Dillion being a lead character I would have probably stopped watching after that revelation, but I stuck with it to end of first season. Then when I heard the show was renewed for another season, I was baffled. I really thought it felt complete at end of season one. Not sure I will get through season two. I don't feel particularly invested in the characters because they seem so weird, but part of me really wants the story to get better. I just can't imagine how it can.

MacGyver

Disappointing. I'm probably not even going to bother watching the 2nd episode. Sadly this show doesn't have the unique "MacGyver" feeling of the original. Part of the problem for me is feeling that the writing and delivery fell short. I also just didn't think that the actor cast as MacGyver brought enough of that unique trademark "Science geeky" kind of smarts to the screen in the first episode. The opening story line about the girlfriend's betrayal didn't help either. It just made the new MacGyver look young and stupid to me. Again perhaps it was the writing, but if the pilot isn't a top shelf product then I wouldn't expect the rest of the season would be either. I think it's a shame this one didn't live up to the buzz. In this case it just didn't fill the shoes of it's successful predecessor.

I just binge watched the first 3 episodes of HBO's bizarre new Syfy western Westworld, and I am hooked. This story of a theme park where people go to participate in their own flavor of extreme western fantasy is disturbing on a variety of levels. From the first episode most viewers will begin to develop sympathy for the very life-like host robots whose main function is to submit to all types of cruelty, even death, to amuse park visitors. If that is not alarming enough, viewers are made aware that clearly something more is not quite right and the suspense begins to build as the story unfolds. We quickly learn that those who work at the park to maintain the robots have mysteriously strange personalities as well. If you are looking for a new show to keep you mentally on the edge of your seat this one is probably for you. Add in a number of well known Hollywood names including Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, and JJ Abrams and that's just more reason to check this one out.

I remember binge watching this show when I decided to leave my job to become a stay at home mom with my newborn. This quirky show and Boston Legal are in my opinion some of David E. Kelley's finest work. In a strange way I related to the central character Ally and thoroughly enjoyed Callista Flockhart's performance. The cast, special guest stars, and writing style made the show was so entertaining that I wished it would never end.

Adam Ruins Everything

I dislike this show, but I think that's kind of the point. If Adam isn't ruining something he's not doing his job as described by the title.

I watched all of the first season. I really wanted to like it. The premise seemed unique and interesting, but I never got back to it for season 2. The more I watched it the less I liked it. I became more of a critical viewer. I wasn't sure if it was the writing or if Halle Berry just didn't gel with the character for me. I could never quite put my finger what was wrong with this one but it was disappointing.
