A fun show about a chaotic family. Reminds me of Malcolm in the Middle. Really worth watching and sooooo hilarious!
A really great concept for a comedy show. I loved the light humor and the way the story was told from different angles. I think the best part about Mixology is that you just can relate to the things happening in this show. I knew from the beginning that there was only gonna be one seasaon but I wish they would've picked it up for the long haul and changed the settings and characters but remained with the concept.
Since I've only seen the pilot so far I'll try and give this show another chance but the jokes seemed kind of dull and the acting is staged (maybe on purpose??) and seems forced. I liked the idea of recreating the whole My Fair Lady thing and was happy to give it a try because I thought this show had real potential. Now I'm not so sure anymore...
A completely new approach to comedy. Lisa Kudrow's dry sarcasm and very distinct humor is the essence of this show. As the plot developes the viewer gets to see just how twisted the character of Fiona Wallice really is.
Disregarding the fact that I dislike Katherine Heigl as an actress I still gave it a chance but this is just an awful disappointment of a show. They should have decided whether they wanted to do a drama or comedy show. The elements are mixed together carelessly and make the show seem dissonant and the constant romcom-like background music just adds to that. It also feels like whoever was in charge was afraid of putting Laverne Cox in the lead because she was the only one doing a great job in this. Her passion for her clients was so convincing and the cases she worked on seemed far more interesting than the rest. If they'd made a show just with her character I'd instantly watch it!
It's not that great of a show but I guess it's something to watch when there's nothing else on. I found most of the jokes pretty dumb but there were some characters and plotlines that made for a pretty decent comedy but don't expect anything unique or hilarious. It's mediocre at best.
Just as funny as the seasons set in Britain and with hilarious guest stars on top!
I loved this show because it was a different kind of vampire show and had an interesting take on vampirism in general. I also liked the idea that they showed how "normal" (god I hate that word) people react to vampires and tackled topics like racism and homophobia. The most significant characters to me were the always sassy Lafayette and the vampire newbie Jessica.
And of course it wouldn't have been the same without handsome Eric and bitchy Pam! I wasn't a big fan of the main characters Sookie and Bill but loved it for everything else.
This is a fantastic and really unique comedy show. I especially love Kimmy's innocence and naivity and how she truly can't be broken by anything after finally being able to live her life in freedom again. It's just so refreshing to see the world through her happy and positive eyes. I love the whole concept of the show and the whole cast. A must-watch!
I already love this show just a few seconds into the pilot! I think it has a lot of potential and will hopefully run for quite some time. I think the idea behind it is amazing and the show's take on the afterlife is really interesting. Although or maybe even because Kristen Bell's character used to be such a bitch and imperfect human being when she was still alive it makes her really relatable and I can't help but feel sympathetic for her. Really great show so far!
