Although it still skips/changes some things this is a much better adaption of the book/s than the Golden Compass. It doesn't shy from addressing Pullman's suspicion of religion, which is refreshing. Dafne Keen plays a fierce and formidable Lyra!

I've never read or watched Anne of Green Gables so I have nothing to compare this to, but I really loved the show from day 1. Some magnificent performances from the cast and it touches on some fairly dark themes at times. I find myself cheering Anne for her open mindedness and imagination, as well as her enthusiasm for life. I am REALLY hoping the CBC and Netflix are able to come to a resolution with this...because I want season 4!!

I was a little undecided at first, but the further I get in to this show the more I like it. It's light hearted and a very good representation of todays 'selfie'-type culture, even though a bit dramatised. Karen and John are great actors and really do their characters justice.
Sad to hear about it's canellation!
