Season 1 started off interestingly and I thought it might explore things that I had wanted The Walking Dead to but that they didn't but towards the end of season 1 it became a snooze fest. Are we really supposed to believe that peoples superstitions would make them as dumb as the characters in the show. The first 2 episodes of the second half of season 2 (S2E8 and S2E9) are pretty much a continuation of the same boring storyline. It's as if half way through the first season the creators of Fear The Walking Dead got bored with it (especially when they couldn't even be bothered to come up with an original title for the series) and decided that they would try their best to get canceled. My current rating is 2 stars but if the show continues down its current path it will soon be downgraded to half a star as that's as low as I can rate it.
I'm 30 minutes into the first episode and I'm not sure what to make of The Get Down. I thought it was supposed to be a serious drama about the foundation Hip Hip/Rap but so far it's coming across like some kinda spoof movie. It reminds of that movie from 2009 Black Dynamite(check out the trailer on IMDB and you'll see what I mean). I've heard that the series changes its style a few episodes in but as far as I can tell it's supposed to be a comedy maybe!(?) targeted at a very specific audience. I'll finish watching this episode and maybe the second but if something doesn't change drastically I probably won't continue to watch.
