This was a show that I thought had a lot of potential and this, the first season, does deliver a fairly enjoyable, intense ride. However, it does not close the storyline and the second season takes it too far making it somewhat ridiculous and far fetched.
A solid series with a fun concept that takes you on a new adventure each week to explore this new universe. Firefly gets a lot of rep as an absolutely amazing show, but its lack of central plot line (which may be a result of only having one season) makes it a good show, just not anything exceptional.
If you liked Firefly, I recommend Cowboy Bebop
A riveting and compelling drama that is highly recommended for all. The Sopranos blends two emerging issues of the times, the fall of organized crime and the rise of medication and therapy. These issues combine to create a deep, thought provoking show with all the action and drama of a gangster film.
This show was very unique in realistic portrayal of growing up in a small town. Always funny and with great acting and writing, the show is a pleasure to watch with the exception of the last season which was not very good (BURN!).
This series is what you would expect it to be. The show is a shallow sham which trivializes the institution of marriage and tries to give instant gratification to a process which requires hard work, vulnerability and a level of intimacy which are not priorities on this show supposedly about love.
Bernie Mac's comedic timing and personality dominate this show and keeps it fresh and entertaining all series long despite a lack of development in characters and storyline.
A unique sit com that explores the more sophisticated class of society while maintaining an atmosphere that is casual, fun and witty. Frasier is a great watch from start to finish.
From the makers of Gundam, this show is another well done outerspace universe but lacks the central driving plotline of Gundam. Amusing weekly epsiodes but nothing special.
Easily one of the best of its genre. A high school drama that manages to present unlikely scenarios that excite and engage the audience without overstepping into the ridiculous events that so many others tend to use. The characters are very human and relatable and the actors do a commendable job making you feel for each one.
Will's antics in his progressive journey towards manhood are always entertaining and is a personal childhood favourite.
