Ok I feel like after the last highly unrealistic episode I kind of need to vent.
So, to start, I do enjoy the show. It's more diverse than normal police procedural and doesn't follow the same formula for every single episode. I also like that we get to see a glimpse of their personal lives, although not enough.
But, oh my God all the unrealistic stuff.
Where on earth have you seen people be convicted for murder within days of committing said murder? It takes YEARS. How in hell do you find out about a prostitution ring, find all the links of the prostitution ring, and disband the criminal organisation in one afternoon? I am not a police office, but I'm pretty damn sure that doesn't happen that fast, or we'd be living in an utopia by now.
What is with all the glorified police violence? Torture is not cool! Even if it's a bad guy and you are 98.5% sure he's a really bad guy, as a police officer you cannot beat him up for the pleasure of it. Police brutality is not fun, or commendable. All of these people should be thrown in jail along with the bad guys they catch for the amount of beating, intimidating and flat out torturing of suspects.
